Aloha,
I would like to ask a question and all answers are welcomed.
I just started teaching a Dance class, and every class I teach I honor PELE with an Alter with candles and a post card picture of her in a fame.
Yesterday morning when I said (I offer these classes I teach in Honor of GODDESS PELE) about 5 minutes later a bird flew in and landed right on my Alter in between the candles and It sat there the whole time the class was going on.(we sat there in Aah)
I was just wondering, would the Hawaiian consider this good-luck?
I felt like it was a true Blessing from Pele herself. but I'm not Hawaiian. (but I have the greatest respect for everything Hawaiian and feel it an honor the even be able to live here and be able to call Hawaii my Home.
And I'm Rev.Theresa,
the Minister doing the commitment ceremonies at the Gay-Pride Festival in Kona next weekend. (I just had to put that in)
Mahalo for all who reply.

I think the bird was looking in to see who what where when and why and nothing more. Just be careful what you initiate and in what manner of context. Wouldn't it be better to honor your God first before Pele? Isn't it so that you are a Reverend and should follow this concept of not putting any gods or goddesses before your own?
