OHA has added a News Alert to it's sight. They attempt to explain the Bill so we understand it better. I UNDERSTOOD IT ALL TOO WELL. I responded to them:
To play with semantics to mislead and misinform is disingenuous and fraudulent to purposely deceive the people. We Hawai'i nationals, citizens and subjects of the Kingdom of Hawai'i never gave up our national rights nor voted for annexation. On the contrary, the Ku'e petitions of 1897 spoke for the people. The Kingdom of Hawai'i still exists albeit under U.S. belligerent occupation. The U.S. has continuously violated the laws of occupation, international laws, rule of laws, and violates our laws of neutrality which our country signed on to since 1854.
We descendants from the original-injured subjects of the Kingdom of Hawai'i are still here and will not accept this form of reconcilliation to be subjected by the U.S. Manifest Destiny racist doctrines enforced by the Akaka Bill to continue the ill-begotten myth. OHA is a U.S. agency to promote the U.S. agenda which is despicable and unconscionable. To censor and be selective of the voices of the people is no better than the U.S. corporate media which stifles free speech.
We, Hawai'i nationals have been barred from consideration and the opportunity to speak in our defense. OHA doesn't represent us nor does it speak for us. Contrary to what you may believe, we Hawaii nationals are united; we just have different platforms like the U.S. who has 22 registered and recognized political parties/entities.
To this day, the U.S. cannot produce a lawful treaty of annexation. Twice the U.S. Congress rejected and defeated the treaty of annexation and the powers that controll the U.S. resorted to an unlawful joint resolution which has no jurisdiction within Hawai'i's terrritory. I hope this gives you a sense of from where we are coming from and expect the U.S. to de-occupy our country.

All I can say is they should cease and desist with their double-talk and BS. Only a mentally-challenged person would support this farcical governing entity induced bill that supports the manifest destiny doctrines of white ethnocentric racism and redefinition of Hawaii nationals' status to demote them into a race-based tribe and ignoring the other Hawai'i nationals existence.
Native nation? Congress plenary authority? Government sovereign immunity? Subject to federal, state, city&county negotiations? No treaty powers? No commerce with foreign countries? No secession? No nation but U.S. government to U.S. govenment entity? A proper resolution??? A proper reconcilliation? Comply with the "Great White Father"?
