    • This is interesting and worth reading. What if we are not federally recognized? What if we are just State recognized ?
After all the State of Hawaii recognizes:
"SECTION 2. The Hawai‘i Revised Statutes is amended by adding a new chapter to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:
      CHAPTER NATIVE HAWAIIAN RECOGNITION
Statement of recognition. The Native Hawaiian people are hereby recognized as the only indigenous, aboriginal, maoli people of Hawai‘i.

Purpose. The purpose of this chapter is to provide for and to implement the recognition of the Native Hawaiian people by means and methods that will facilitate their self-governance, including the establishment of, or the amendment to, programs, entities, and other matters pursuant to law that relate, or affect ownership, possession, or use of lands by the Native Hawaiian people, and by further promoting their culture, heritage, entitlements, health, education, and welfare."

That is unless they play "INDIAN GIVER" and repeal Act 195 and they do not recognize us.
      ......................

Here's a link to an interesting site that could give us a sneak peek
of how things can play out:

      http://www.ncsl.org/issues-research.aspx?tabs=951%2C70%2C385#385

This is a sample from the FAQ's:

What is a state-recognized Indian Tribe?
State recognized tribes are tribes recognized by individual states,
usually through the state legislature or by a state commission or
similar organization. Some state-recognized tribes are also federally
recognized. State-recognized tribes are eligible for substantially
fewer benefits than federally recognized ones. The main reason tribes
petition for state recognition is to have their existence acknowledged
and to continue a government-to-government relationship with the
      state.

What is the role of the state government regarding American Indian tribes?
State governments have no authority over Indian tribes, unless
officially authorized by the U.S. Congress. Tribal governments are not
subservient to state governments and retain the right to create laws
that are stricter or more lenient than state laws. In general, states
may regulate only on matters that are exclusive to non-Indians and
that do not affect tribal interests. For decades, however, tribal and
state governments have found ways to cooperate on a broad range of
regulatory matters--often in the form of intergovernmental agreements.

Currently the State-Tribal Institute tracks a variety of policy issues
affecting state-tribal relations including economic development,
environmental protection, human services, taxation, jurisdiction and
law enforcement and trust land issues. There are 566 federally
recognized tribes within the United States. Although a significant
number reside in Alaska (229), the remaining tribes are located within
the boundaries of 33 states. In addition, there are numerous bills
that are considered by state legislatures each year that can affect
tribal governments. Communication between the states and tribes is
important so that state policymakers understand the impact legislation
can have on their American Indian, Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian
      constituents.

For more information on state-tribal legislation, see
      NCSL's legislation database.

The State-Tribal Institute was established in 2006 and is part of the Member Outreach Division within NCSL. The Institute strives to improve upon and facilitate more effective state-tribal cooperation and the government-to-government and leader-to-leader relationships. The Institute also conducts tr...

    Aloha kakou he Hawaii au,

    Mahalo piha Joan and Elaine!

We must do something! We can not sit on the side of the road and let the Traffic of Tyranny just continue to pass through without opposition.

Had we, just as Hawaiiian Nationals stand in the year of 2000 stand together against the U. S. Congressional threat revised the Ku'e Petition of 1897, there would be be no Avecromie or Kanaiolowalu threat of today! We were not prepared then and we are still not prepared now. In fact, back then most were to busy looking for Royalty?

REMEMBER ONE THING; KANAIOLOWALU TO THE HAWAIIIAN NATIONAL IS NO DIFFERENT THAN THE U. S. 14TH AMENDMENT OF 1866 U. S. CONSTITUTION DID TO THE AMERICAN NATIONALS WHICH CREATED TITLES OF NOBILITY LATER DISGUISED UNDER THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE (UCC) BECAME NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENTS OF U. S. PROPERTY!

Whether you are a Hawaiian or American National, ask yourself why is Government anywhere able to do do what they want to do? It is is only because your "Inalienable Right" has been legally null and void by YOU!

Please sign on or remain on the road side waiting for a bone!

    Aloha,
I was referred to you by Joan Conrow who suggested you folks may be able to help us (Kekane Pa, Bill Brown, Maria Taylor and others) accumulate names for this Petition we created last night. If you have large  mailing lists that would be the edge we could use at this time.
We have less than 30 days to get 100,000 signatures. Yikes. Nothingʻs easy.
Mahalo for anything you may be able to do.
    Elaine

    Aloha,

Hawaiian and non-Hawaiian supporters of Hawaiian Independence.

    • The signing of an Executive Order by President Obama to apply Federal Recognition in Hawaii is imminent.

    • We will put our voices on the record to counter the unlawful and aggressive actions of OHA, Kana’iolowalu Commission and Danner participants on a PETITION through the White House website.

    • Donʻt worry if your name is on Kau Inoa or Kana’iolowalu because it was done under deception and you can still sign this PETITION.

    • To sign the PETITION you will be prompted to create a user name/account to log in. This only takes a couple minutes but it is worth it.

    • We need to reach 100,000 signatures within 30 days. So we have to move fast.

    • We are hoping with your help this petition will go viral. We can do this.

PLEASE, SHARE THIS AND PASS IT ON TO FAMILY, FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS LIVING HERE OR IN THE STATES.

    Go to Petition Site here:

Here's some more information about this petition:
WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO...

Not Bypass Congress by Signing an Executive Order for Federal Recognition of Native Hawaiian.
The Kana’iolowalu Roll Commission thwarts the legal context and spirit of self-determination. We are not tribal, nor of tribes. Attempting to transform our Hawaiian identity is an unconstitutional, race-based action; a clear breach and violation of our perfect right denying our due process under law. We, the Kanaka Maoli, have been misrepresented through materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent statements implemented through the use of false writings/documents. We oppose federal recognition of our people and reject Kana’iolowalu. We ask that you respect the U.S. Constitution and comply with international laws, Laws of Nations and the U.N. Declaration you signed in 2010 based on the right to self-determination and self-governance.

    Summary

The contract/Perpetual Treaty was signed in 1849 with the above U.S. Constitution and Amendments intact.

This means that the contract/Perpetual Treaty is locked in time and the U.S. Constitution and Amendments recorded during the time period affects the Perpetual Treaty of the period.

This means that the U.S. Constitution and Amendments remain unchanged to this day because Treaty(ies) supersede State Laws, etc.

This means that all the Presidential Executive Orders which changes the U.S. Constitution cannot change what was since 1849.

Correct me if I'm wrong.........but Americans can charge those who change the U.S. Constitution as treasonous, etc.

    note:

In 1852, Kauikeouli/Kamehameha III passed the anti-slavery law and 13 years later, the U.S. passed their anti-slavery following the Hawaiian Law with nearly every word in the law worded the same.

Yes, the Hawaiian Kingdom was more progressive than the U.S./United States of America.
