Here we are, strong advocates to our nation of Hawai'i. This is an announcement, tonight a ninety minute show will air, and it is a product of something that our kupuna have always talked about in our communities, what it means to be pono in Hawai'i. In this show, Aunty Malia Craver, our beloved and well-respected kupuna will be asked about her mana'o concerning pono and also kahu Kawika Kahiapo, our well loved friend, kahu and gifted musician and mana'o from other people working hard in our communties as well. This video was co-produced by uncle Don Mapes and Kahu Kawika. I haven't seen it yet either, but this (maoli world) is a pu'uhonua for us to share our mana'o, and I hope to encourage honest discussion after the program is shown, which airs tonight 4/22 @6:30pm until 8pm on KGMB 9. Me ke aloha no ia kakou a pau loa, moanike'ala sitch "...we are not creating anything. We are just a sounding board and an advocate for the heroes in the community." Kawika Kahiapo p.s. If the show does well, they may be able to continue airing more of the interviews they had with various people working hard in our communities on a continual basis, and open up for an ongoing way to help encourage, inspire, educate and learn from the 'aina and people of Hawai'i.
