"Ku'uipo i ka he'e pu'e one"

Does anyone have any info on the song "Ku'uipo i ka he'e pu'e one"? I know Princess Miriam Likelike had composed the song, but is there any other info on the song? Who it was for? Hidden translation? What flower or lei could be worn that best fits the song?

  • Go to: huapala.org and look up the song there. There was a story that links to "aloha 'oe " whereby the Queen teased her sister of this seemingly unrequited love/lover in Maunawili, Oahu that they would visit often. Personally, I would use palapalai fern or laua'e and/or use some pua liko lehua. The fragrance that is carried by the (lover's) wind. That's only just my opinion as me being a romantic. LOL...
    • Mahalo. Will do....
