Like Hawai'i in WW2 - Hawai'i may again be a target this time around. But - would we be a target if the occupational forces of the u.s. weren't here? Maybe not.
While N. Korea might be testing its "delivery" capabilities - the u.s. - although possibly reluctantly - might be testing its own "anti" system. Would the u.s. takes shots at it, just to test it's own capabilities? I wouldn't be surprised.
However, we may never be told about such an attempt - its success OR failure. Because - if it fails - the u.s.'s own saber rattling will be proved to be exactly that. Then all of the money spent AND all the reassurances it broadcasts (to justify its defense/offense budget) will be for naught - which should begin to open naive eyes to the politics of it all.
Then - all the expensive training (that is proved needed by the Port Royal incident when a simple depth finder and a competent blip reader would have been adequate) will truly be justified.
Onipa'a!!!!!
