Greetings,
I, Amelia Gora, am one of the Trustees of our Kamehameha Families, descendants of Kalola (female)
who was the sibling and cousin of Bernice Pauahi Bishop who died in 1884.  Kalola (female) was named as next-of-kin in her Probate and I am one of her descendants and one of the Representatives of our Royal Family.
The Rents due for the 4,010 acres of the Ahupuaa of Kualoa, etc. including Mikolii Island are $100,000 per acre per month retroactive to 1873 - the death of Dr. Gerritt Parmele Judd, etc.

Rents Due for Kualoa, etc. - Kamehameha III's Property

This is the Title Research of Kualoa, etc. - Ahupuaa - 3 Ahupuaa and Mikolii Island

1850 - Kamehameha III - Kauikeaouli owns the alodio title.

1850 - Kamehameha III - Kauikeaouli conveyed the land of Kualoa and the Island of Mokolii - outside of Kualoa in Fee Simple to Dr. Gerrit Parmele Judd, an alien, a non-kanaka maoli.

Judd Leased 630 acres.

Fee Simple or Lease would end in 1880.

1854 - Kamehameha III - Kauikeaouli died.

Queen Kalama conveyed her interest to Alexander Liholiho who became Kamehameha IV.

1860 - Dr. Gerritt Parmele Judd leased another 2,200 acres.

Fee Simple or Lease would end in 30 years or 1890.

1863 - Charles Judd son of Dr. Gerritt Parmele Judd and his "brother-in-law Samuel Gardner Wilder started a sugarcane plantation and built a sugar mill at the ranch. Several years of low rainfall brought sugar farming to a close, and the mill closed in 1870."

1870 - Sugar Mill closed.

1873 - Dr. Gerritt Parmele Judd died.  His Fee Simple or Lease lands ended because the land was designated only for him, a life interest, Fee Simple or Lease.

The lands affected were the following:

622 acres of Kualoa and Mokolii Island.

2200 acres from Kamehameha IV - Alexander Liholiho.

Note:  Dr. Gerritt Parmele Judd was an Alien who could only purchase Fee Simple or Lease Lands.

Alodial titles were granted to only kanaka maoli, and Not to Aliens.

Dr. Gerritt Parmele Judd was an American born in New York.

His heirs were:

Judd and his wife Laura had nine children:[5]

  1. Gerrit Parmele II born March 8, 1829, died November 13, 1839, buried in Oahu Cemetery.
  2. Elizabeth Kinaʻu born July 5, 1831 died August 9, 1918. Married September 29, 1857 to Samuel Gardner Wilder (1831–1888) from Leominster, Massachusetts, six children.
  3. Helen Seymour born August 27, 1833 and died April 2, 1911.
  4. Charles Hastings born September 8, 1835 (twin) died April 18, 1890. Married November 1, 1859 to Emily Catherine Cutts (1840–1921), four children. Worked in the Guano and farming businesses, and held several posts in the Kingdom.[6]

  9. Juliet Isabelle born March 28, 1846 and died June 27, 1857.

1893 - Planned usurpation of Queen Liliuokalani was made with the help of the United States.  The Judd's were also conspirators, treasonous persons.

Note:  All claims to Hawaiian Lands - Fee Simple or Lease became null and void due to conspiracy(ies) by the Judd Families - descendants of Dr. Gerritt Parmele Judd, Albert Francis Judd, Charles H. Judd, et. als.

1910 - Had the Judd's not participated in the usurpation of Queen Liliuokalani, their Fee Simple or Lease for the 1,188 would have ended and a possibility to renew the Fee Simple or Lease would have been made by the Heirs of Kamehameha V which included Ruth Keelikolani, Bernice Pauahi Bishop's next-of-kin Kalola (female) descendants and heirs.

Note:  Charles Reed Bishop husband of Bernice Pauahi Bishop had a lifetime interest.  Because he was found to be in collusion, a treasonous person, conspirator, pirate through research, he was not able to convey allodial lands to Aliens.

1915 - Charles Reed Bishop died.  All of his claims to lands were extinguished in 1893 due to his conspiracies, piracies discovered through research.

1941 - "during World War II, the U.S. military occupied the land, which became the site of Kualoa Airfield. After the war the ranch was returned to the Morgan family, the owners and descendants of Dr. Judd."

President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Note:  Opposition to Statehood was made by Kamehameha descendants - Harold Abel Cathcart

and his cousin Mele Keawe Kauweloa.

showed that the U.S. lied about the claim to Annexation.  U.S. Congress et. als. kept the truth from the public for 71 years.

Note:  Queen Liliuokalani and her subjects opposed Annexation in 1897.

1974 - "The entire ahupuaʻa (traditional land division of ancient Hawaii) was added to the National Register of Historic Places listings in Oahu as the Kualoa Ahupuaʻa Historical District, site 74000718 on October 16, 1974."

History[edit]

The valley was sacred to ancient Hawaiians from the 13th to the 18th century, as Chief Laʻa-mai-kahiki settled there after visiting Kauaʻi before returning to Tahiti. It was also the site of the sacred drums of Kapahuʻula and Kaʻahuʻulapunawai as well as the sacred Hill of Kauakahiakahoʻowaha, the key to the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Oʻahu. As written in the Kumulipo, an ancient Hawaiian genealogical chant, Kualoa is where Papa and Wakea buried their first still born child, Haloa. It is said that the first kalo (taro) plant grew up from where Haloa was buried at Kualoa.

Mokoliʻi island, also known as Chinaman's Hat, as seen from the Ranch.

In 1850 an American doctor, Dr. Gerrit P. Judd purchased 622 acres of ranch land at Kualoa for $1300, and also the island of Mokoliʻi just offshore, from King Kamehameha III. Dr. Judd was the first person to translate medical journals into the Hawaiian language for King Kamehameha and so the king was very grateful for his works. In 1860 Dr. Judd bought a further 2200 acres. Then in 1880 Dr. Judd's son Charles bought another 1188 acres. Today there are about 4000 acres of land.[2]

In 1863 Charles Judd and his brother-in-law Samuel Gardner Wilder started a sugarcane plantation and built a sugar mill at the ranch. Several years of low rainfall brought sugar farming to a close, and the mill closed in 1870. The ruins of the old sugar mill can still be seen along Kamehameha Highway.

In 1941 during World War II, the U.S. military occupied the land, which became the site of Kualoa Airfield. After the war the ranch was returned to the Morgan family, the owners and descendants of Dr. Judd.[2]

The entire ahupuaʻa (traditional land division of ancient Hawaii) was added to the National Register of Historic Places listings in Oahu as the Kualoa Ahupuaʻa Historical District, site 74000718 on October 16, 1974.[3][4]

From 1993 to 1998, the ranch hosted Hawaii's first major rock festival, the Big Mele.

The ranch today[edit]

In 2018, the ranch was raising shrimp and making it available, as local lunch cuisine, to visitors.[7]
