Volunteers needed today for flood debris cleanup in Ewa, Waianae
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Volunteers from various community and faith-based organizations will assist homeowners on Old Fort Weaver Road and Puuhulu Road that were affected by the heavy rains last week.
The volunteers will load storm debris and ruined household goods into bins provided by United Environmental Company and Schnitzer Steel Hawaii Corporation.
 
The work well be done from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday in  Ewa (91-2200 block of Old Fort Weaver Road) and Waianae (86-000 block of Puuhulu Road).
 
Please call the State Civil Defense Public Information Office at 733-4300 for more information or to arrange to meet up with the volunteer groups.
