Several years of after the organinzing of the Hale O Na Alii on Oahu, Princess Kawananakoa felt that it would be good policy to establish branches on the other islands.  She made a trip to Hilo and talked to the old kamaainas and came away convinced that the plan would gain support.  On January 21, 1921, she organized the Halau O Kalakaua (No. 2) and installed the following officers: Iku Hai, Mary Brown; Iku Lani, William Todd; Iku Nuu, Eddie Namohala; Iku Kau, Kalei Aona; Iku Wai, Nahaku Brown; Iku One, mary Shipman; Iku Kilo, William Ragsdale.

Being successful on the island of Hawaii, she went to Kauai and on February 6, 1921, organized the Halau O Kapiolani (No. 3).  among the officers installed were Iku Hai, Rosalie Keliinoi; Iku Kau, Abraham Kaulukou; Iku One, W.O. Crowell and Aha Kahuna member, William Achi, Jr.

Both the Halau O Kapiolani and the Halau O Liliuokalani encountered rough sailing and on July 17, 1948, the Halau O Liliuokalani was reorganized and the following installed as officers: Iku Hai, Louis Gaspar; Iku Lani, Irene Enos; Iku Nuu, Louise Kaahui; Iku Kau, Manuel Rodrigues; Iku Wai, Louise Saffery; Iku One, Elizabeth Izumi; Iku Kilo, Joseph Lum Ho; Iku Moe, Eddie Saffery; Iku Laau Hope, John Kalehuawehe.  For the Papa Kahuna: Harry Field, Cecilia Gaspar and Ida Kikukawa.

During her term as a member of the Hawaiian Homes Commission, Princess Kawananakoa was very much interested in the Kalanianaole Settlement on the island of Molokai.  But it was left to her daughter, Kapiolani, to organize a Halau on that island on May 14, 1949, which she named in honor of her father (Halau O Kawananakoa, No. 5).  The following were installed as officers:

Lindsey; Iku Aho, Solomon Akau; Iku Laau, Fanny Duldulao; Iku Laau Hope, Emily Hauanio.  For the Papa Kahuna:  Sue Kaula, Bernard Kinney and Daisy Pereira.

The Halau O Kapiolani had been inactive for some time and it was reactivated by Kapiolani on November 12, 1949, with the following officers: Iku Hai, Isaac Kaiu; Iku Lani, Harriet Kinney; Iku Nuu, Edith Waialeale; Iku Kau, Gladys Kaiu; Iku Wai, Rose Kealoha; Iku One, Emma Blackstad; Iku Kilo, William Waialeale; Iku Ahi, Rachel Moke; Iku Poni, Louisa Sheldon; Iku Moe, Kawai Manini; Iku Aho, Maria Cox; Iku Laau, Julia Naholoholo; Iku Laau Hope, Katie Koani. • I was surprised to read 'Kahuna' and the fact that Hawaiian Homes Commission was concern about the "Kalanianaole Settlement on the Island of Molokai."
