People talk and that's what we do, however, when it comes to the real issues the Na Kanaka always stamds alone against the oppressors and their network of invasive Anglo oppression.

Haleiwa houseless is the  heart of the northshore, however, capitalism such as feeding the sharks meets the very core of contemporary values. Activisim from the roots of the Na Kanaka community last for about ten minutes.  Why? Because they lack the roots of their ancient values and are now part of the oppressive regime.

Playing sovereinty in the margins is a weak sounding board.  The shouts, the talk, and the hot air only last for but a few minutes.  Art is a slam for the it's time of wealth and snacks, however, when the shows over the documentary is a flicker.  Try as we may, we seem to fail in the end to really connect the plight of the poverty to the general society and their necessity.

Uncle Kalani spent too long years that wore out his body to stand up to the APEC and Anglo residence in Haleiwa.  He spent 'max out' years for a crime he did not commit.  He lives in a van with aunty annie and her dogs.  He recently, had a stroke so I am told.  He and Anne are so Hawaiian that most contemporary Na Kanaka wouldn't even know that because of their plastic Hawaiianess.  My point there is a disconnect between realism-loneliness and the outer core of contemporary Anglo Hawaiians.

Uncle Kalani and Anne live at Haleiwa and they need to be taken somewhere safe from the APEC sharks!!!

Houseless, APEC, and the Mayors office is on the war chant, my question is will Uncle Kalani and Annie be a statistic after the 'bankers' walk the worldly talk in Hawaii.  After the slabs of butter and sun are washed off into our shores for will they still be alive?

When are the APEC and their millions of dollars of security leaving the islands?

  • Up staging Noho Hewa, by getting arrested and creating a commotion unnecessarily for the sake of drama is not activisim.  A diversion tactic a learned military head-game was more like it.
