Mahalo for a good day. We had some mixups or misdirection but with patience all work out to the better. I look forward to a better day tomorrow at the MLK Parade. We had a good chance to kuka with Officers of HPD that were assigned to I'olani Patace and DLNR.  Why we could not have use the rest room, I don't know. I offered the $25.00 for the use of the lua. There have been problems with "unsupervised adults and children using the public restrooms within Kana'ina Building for some wander into the other rooms which are not secured from the public restrooms. DLNR mentioned unless there is a Monitor within Kanaina Bldg. the restroom would not be available to the public functions on the grounds. Which could means renting porta-potty or a Restroom Monitor.

Bill Aila and wife had an ear full today. They intensely listen to speakers and just to the ohana present. It was a good beginning for Aila who I believe the most difficult job for anyone Kanaka Maqo;li or otherwise in the system for that system is based upon greed by a select few who never get full.. Aila is not yet affirmed by the Legislature. We can only pray Aila makes pono decisions.

Again, I am sorry and hope you young people don't get discourage with the confusion of us old farts but I would be lying to all if I said it is uncommon. I am not making an excuse for me or anyone else, but the current permit structure promotes discouragement and confusion so that we take the easy way and stay home. But we going fool um!

  • Actually Tane,

Not true, I did not take the easy way.  I wish I had the open communication with everyone-afterall this is the forum and should be open--eventhough we (I) tendencies to shut somethings down.

I have asked Ku Kuna O Ka La (KKK) to remove his postings, NO LIKE! So now on the forum and chat we have two calling women 'whores' as a daily ritual.

Okay the rape of our women because they are on DHHL with a contract agreement that states they are 50% plus bloodquantum means 'whore' to this two lolo heads.

I also came by on the 15th before picking up Joshua to drop off a pak of film to Pono.  And too, I was in communication three ways with Pono as to what, who and where.  Sensing something was to chaotic, I had no choice but to stay home.

My day started off, taken Leimomi to Waimanalo on the 15th, she had her messages all messed up.  I did not want her to make the journey to Waimanalo and cause a ripple of problems.  So, I listended and paved a peaceful journey to Waimanalo early in the morning.

This is what she told me, "I want to go to Waimanalo,...to go to Bumpy"s place...I want to go to a meeting with Henry Noa at Bumpy's place...(@#$!&*^)... ."  I responded to her that I was going to take her!  So, my day was exciting and a bit crazy!  But a nice day.

Fortunately, I have a lot of aloha for Bumpy and his ohana and was able to take Lei up mauka.  I took the opportunity to sit and kuka a little bit with Sam Ka'ai and we talked about the 'ahu' at the mound.  We went back to the beginning of 1993.  The outcome was that it was Uncle Randy's idea to create the ahu and not his!  Therefore, Sam said, "the ahu is from the temple of Lono."  Moving on to our beautiful Ipu Nihipali and the very beginnings of the 'Native Hawaiian Art Gallery' and the importance of why she stay'ed home, instead of going to Aotearoa.  Ipu also, graciously shared her art as well as teaching's.

Leimomi being new and wanting to know about the different groups, Bumpy gave a lot of aloha and so did Henry.

We got back on the car and eventually, after taking Leimomi all over Waimanalo (my home community) we finally got to LGH up at the ranch.  We, stayed and I explained to Henry the 'mistake' and we're still all laughing about the the situation.  I got to see a lot of my growing up friends, see Waimanalo, and talk story with Uncle Sam Keleileki from Maunawili.  Lei went to Crouching Lion to meet her son and I called Pono from Kaiona Beach Park.  I got to give my brother a kiss (Marshall Kaniaupio).  I drove to your place to speak to Pono about the next day.

Sensing that there was going to be problems and with Joshua (he was naughty in school), I decided to pass on going to Kuka at the Iolani Palace.  Sorry, I wish I was there, but I gottah shi shi a lot and that (no can) is a problem.   I've used the trees in the past, but that is when I was younger--I'm too old now.  Besides, given the mistake before , still lol--I lacked the energy to take a stand on the access to the ahu and the mound.  William Aila is not ma'a to anything that goes on outside of Waianae.  He is new to the movement and a typical Waianae stay in your own back yard, kinda person.  However, from my perspective on the high side, one would best to keep the communications open for the sake of the children.

Or, do clean up after those that like to cause incidents.  I hate being blindsided.  We have this forum and there was no reason for this problem.  I personally, do not see this as a problem for me with long standing with the Iolani Palace ever since the multi meetings during the 1976 Bi-Centennial (maka to maka with the US revolutionist), I just don't trust the people in control.  The point of their origin is to maintain the overthrow of 'Liliu' from their perspective.

As for the Martin Luther King march, I did that last year with all the aches and pains from the confrontation at Iolani Palace.  We Joshua and I marched in the Human Trafficking group.  Brianna (African American) a five year old and Joshua's little calabash sister was being sold to the highest bidder, exhausted we marched from Ala Moana to Kapiolani Park.

As you know too, Pono and I just came in from Hilo, and facing the AEC and the NRC was not an easy task for me.  And too, walking down Waipio with Pono did take a lot of muscle energy, but it was a spiritual walk.

I understand Wm and Pono have been with me long enough to know the problems.  For I have talked endlessly to him about the problems we have out here in Waianae.  Unresolved, now the problems are being transfered outside of Waianae.  If Neil wants harmony, it's going to be a statewide effort!  I personally, don't think this is going to be resolved.  It's a matter of choosing battles and I expect much more confusion and confrontations.  Children are my concern, and they should be part of the Nationalist front.

Joshua (five ears old)  is up and he expressed himself yesterday about having to go to Iolani Palace, so I had the opportunity to explain things to him about the overthrow and 'Liliu' and the monarchy.  He wore his 'Liliu shirt yesterday, and people noticed!

    I love you
