It's imperative to understand what is being asked.  The  US Armed Forces militarize nature and death is their end game.  As a civilian, I do not see life through their lens.  The question should be, "Why the US Navy should leave Hawaii?"  Demilitarize is the process for Hawaii and is the only agemda that civilians need to consider.

We cannot have military in Hawaii and not expect to live a healthy life in a pristine environment.  It is not possible to minimize the toxicity that the military brings to any place on earths environment.  Besides their mentality is death!

As part of the 'Stop the Bombing' in Hawaii in the 70s, I understand clearly first hand, or second hand cause I don't take credit for the first wave which to me is sacred in nature, I experienced the true meaning of 'demilitarize' and stopping the death hand of the US Military.

Having said that Pono Kealoha is asking an important question and the bottom line is demilitarize Hawaii.  The consequences will be in the near future are that our civilian population will be exiting like the Micronesians.

  • What those of us that live out here in Waianae are concern about is the fact that they are now cleaning up UXO from Maili and unfortunately the arsnic will be in our Limu beds.
  • It's interesting how the military insist that they a right to kill even in their retirement.  Things never change for most veterans!
  • Today, I will be meeting with Micronesians from all over they are Hawaii's group that is living in poverty and are experiencing dying children.  So should Hawaii 'demilitarize?'
