Christian Churches gained a foothold into Hawaii after the Haystack Committee held their first meeting in Torringer, Connecticut. The out come of that meeting was Prudential insurance, charity, and capitalism on a global scale. This is history I lived through out my life and a visit to my grandfathers main church in Kalihi one can see pictures of this phenomenon of that Haystack Committee. A church in Maui was invited back to Connecticut to celebrate Hawaii and our connections to the first decision of capitalism as opposed to charity. Gospel of Salvation is the ideology behind and I say that because it was thought of by Samuel Mills as a means for emancipation. From that moment on, Gospel of Salvation became interconnected with Christianity in Hawaii.
The ideology of emancipation was to bring some form of freedom to Africa and it's slave trading. That was the original idea, and not Christianity. Christianity did not really mean full on charity only, it has it's capitalism embedded or tied/tangled together. However, one wants to put these to cooperation entities together.
APEC Hawaii 2011 is not free from capitalism nor the moral aspect of trade and it's Pacific Island region of people's. I know this to be a fact, cause I had to live this phenon my whole life. Although, I can favor this part of me positively, I believe that it was a false start! That meant long pain and suffering as oppose to being normally positive. I don't wish this stuff on my children let alone other families either. It is not a true way of life, however, it happened and now we need to move away from Samuel Mills, Haystack Committee, and allow the true nature of the Pacific Ocean islanders live their lives without--insane nuclear war!
