  • Charles Thurston is my great-grandfather and I use to put flowers on his grave at Oahu Cemetary.  He was the longest serving Fire Chief of 23 years in the Honolulu Fire Department.  The Honolulu Fire Department training center is named after him for a purpose.  He was responsible for turning the HFD from volunteer to payroll.  Former Mayor Frank Fasi did a good thing.  I have many cousins that resembles him in appearance as well as stature!

My Grandpa Kanae, Joseph was his illegitimate child.  Too bad we were so judged wrongly by gossip and nosy people.  Life for me was joyous because I knew the real story and was very proud of my heritage.  I don't have to go outside my family members for human satisfaction.

Boston Mass is far away from Nova Scotia, ill researchers make bad fires.
