On June 27, Leonard Peltier was removed from the general population at USP-Lewisburg and thrown in the hole.  Little else is known at this time.  Due to his age and health status, please join us in demanding his immediate return to general population.

  • aloha,

In the early 90s I believe the Oglala women and their young came to Hawaii and we got to hear their story and share ours.  I can remember Gail Prejean sitting on the couch with his head bent low as if it was so heavy with the the world sitting on his neck.

Thank you all for your assistance in Leonard's plight!  Leonard and others were called upon to help the elders that sought help from the younger generation.  The Federal Government and leaders of the tribe were working together: beating, killing and abusing people living on the reservation Oglala.  All of this was happening because the 'white's' wanted to build a golf course on the graves.  At that time we too had the same problems which ended in death on the homestead in Anahola and elsewhere.  Leonard was not the person that caused the death two FBI agents, he was far from the area.  Secondly, everyone knows who had done the shooting that killed the FBI agents.  The two that admitted it openly were let free!  They were lesser leader's from my perspective!  Leonard was a moral leader and he would have been able to keep the peace between the two hot heads native American and FBI agents...this problem also happens in our protest here in Hawaii.  It is very difficult to keep things calm when bad leaders appear on site with stupid head notions.

This is the reasons why we don't want to be recognized by the fed's and taken off the state control or our rehabilitation status for 200,000 acres.  Things like this do happen on federally controlled lands!  You loose more than just your freedom, your soul and life!

Whether recognized or rehabilitation for the dying race one is still a victum of greed!  The bloodquantum keeps the pigs at bay and Iam not talking about the four legged ones either.  I don't know how else to keep our elderly and children from harm, except to keep the bloodquantum intact.  Everything else such as revenues from the 200,000 acres are stolen and taken to be used in entities that claim to fame as supporting our native needs!  When in fact, they are just using our woes as a cash crop for appropriations.

We go through the same oppressed conditions that Oglala people go through...extreme poverty and low education and our elderly gets picked on all the time.

    Much aloha for ones help!
