Devasting effects begin to develop as soon as seven days in isolation. In 2002, a California prison psychiatrist told Human Rights Watch: "It's a standard psychiatric concept, if you put people in isolation, they will go insane... Join us at 7:00 p.m. on August 6th for a candlelight vigil to protest the use of solitary confinement in the U.S., and in solidarity with prisoners at the federal penitentiary at Lewisburg -- in support of Leonard Peltier, in particular.
Gather at 10:00 a.m. on August 7th for a Free Peltier Rally. Native American activist and political prisoner Leonard Peltier is currently being held in solitary confinement at USP-Lewisburg. Rally for his freedom -- from solitary, from prison. Demand clemency for Leonard Peltier!

Have been thinking about the days when Gail Prejeans mom was being evicted from Kalawaihine, which started our whole relationship with the native people on turtle island (US). It's amazing that I really didn't know AIM until two days before Gail died.
And I fully didn't understand that his counterpart was so close daily, I never saw that. The ultimate betrayal! Why did I not see this!
I watched the documentation, spoke to Pine Ridge people and listened to their talk! Wow and it didnt' hit me as to who Leonard Petier was, what the hell BIA was doing, and my coming from the so called res--all I wanted to do is run, run run! So I've stopped and today I wonder why all that I can think off is do whatever it takes to stop the very same poison from hurting our people on DHHL.
We cannot have anymore of our people spending time in jail just for being born native. Leonard was nowhere near the shooting. Everyone knows this and he is just a scape goat!
