The Legislature is back in session.  Over 100 bills related to the undersea cable, Big Wind, the PUC, HECO, geothermal, wind and/or solar have been introduced.  Many other bills, attempting to undermine and eviscerate Hawaii's environmental laws and regulations, have also been introduced.
  
It's time to be heard!!
SB2785 argues that the undersea cable will reduce our energy security and provide "back-up" power for the islands.  Lana'i does not want to see its hunting lands become a storage battery for O'ahu's electricity needs.
 
Tell the Governor and your legislators that you say "NO" on SB2785.  Better that the money for the undersea cable be spent on placing solar hot water units on 100% of O'ahu residences or photo-voltaic systems on 25% of O'ahu residences.
