From the beginning of created time, God has been making. And God has never quit bringing things into their fullness, pulling the best and the most beautiful out of us and our fellow created ones. Our calling is connected to this image of God as Creator. The freedom and potential inspiring the lives we lead is inseparably tied to the story we tell ourselves about what God has created us to be. And the problem of sin and pain is tied to our dis-integrating, self-sabotaging habits as life-artists who have lost our passion and vision. No narratives demonstrate this better than the origin stories found in the book of Genesis.
