The Hawaiian Kingdom never ended...
On January 17th one hundred twenty years ago, armed US Marines commit an act of war against the peaceful Hawaiian Kingdom, surround Iolani Palace, and arrest Queen Liliuokalani at gunpoint. This enables treasonous private businessmen to unlawfully start their own "government" called the Republic of Hawaii. A fraudulent "annexation" then becomes the illegal foundation of the so-called "State of Hawaii", which is where we find ourselves today.
On January 17th 2013, everyone is invited to put aside their differences and come celebrate our Queen, who protested U.S. occupation till the day she died. Six generations have passed since our Queen envisioned the full restoration of the Hawaiian Kingdom. It is no accident that she used the words "Oh honest Americans." She knew that one day honest American people would stand up with their Hawaiian brothers and sisters to restore our Peaceful Hawaiian Nation. It was an act of war then, and still is an illegal occupation today.
People from all walks of life are welcome to come out on the ala nui kahiko and get to know your neighbors as we celebrate our beloved Queen; for all that she did for us then, which also guides and inspires us today. Let's work collaboratively as one People, to ho'oponopono and make right this injustice! There will be a live internet broadcast of the event, as well as the big rally in Hilo at the Kamehmeha Statue from 2-8pm. Informational meetings / sign waiving rallys will continue to be held at the Kamehameha Statue in Hilo every Wednesday from 8:30am-12:30pm

The Key elements that have pushed the people to the streets and into the politicians face are:
- The religious and cultural rights and practices of the residents of the Big Island are not being protected, and the county and state conduct operations that even prevent the people from exercising their right to these practices.
- The State of Hawaii has created the PLDC ACT 55, which gives 5 people the power to influence a complicit Legislature in order to develop and sell 1.8 million acres of Hawaiian crown lands that the US falsely calls "ceded lands."
- On October 25th 2012 County Police conducted operations island wide centered around the eviction of Kupuna Abel Simeona Lui at Kawa`a in Kau. On that same day Uncle James Kalili was also arrested in Kona. Kawa`a is an active cultural and religious site, and the people will not sit still for this injustice.
120 years since the illegal overthrow has created many layers of false political, economic and legal entanglements. We must go forward in the faith and knowledge that the truth indeed will set us free. Now is the time to stand up for what is right! No more choosing the lesser of two evils in our everyday life.
The overthrow of Queen Lilioukalani in 1893 was an unprovoked invasion of a foreign country and the U.S. is continuing the illegal occupation to this day........................
