It would be great if those with time could attend and give testimony.  If no can, then written testimony would also be great.

Some Points

Lease rent at $1 per year is very unrealistic.  Fair market value is worth millions per year.  Over the life of the telescopes - the figures become enormous.

Viewing time and usage not being accounted for to public, legislature, etc. - This is worth millions of dollars.

The university is looking for over $2 Million this year - for Mauna Kea administration, maintenance and to defend lawsuits against us (the public) - which means using public money to fight the public (which is ridiculous).

  • If you ask the US permission to be treated fairly involving Hawaiian trust land you are probably wasting your time. They claim the have perfect title [knowing they do not] and so the court is just not interested in "Moral" Hawaiian rights,

In the words of Pomaikai Kinney "Come home to the Kingdom" come back to being independent and assert your beneficiary rights. you ownership in the aloduim and lets work to take control again of our Hawaiian lands. Maybe they will throw you a bone at best and even if you get them to pay a more realistic rate who will get the funds?

OHA maybe and they will donate it to what the Pearl Harbor museum?

    Just come home!
