I've been learning about Hawaiian language and culture from one of my best friends, who attended Hawaiian immersion charter
school. It interested me so much that I thought it would be a great
place to start doing research for a project I'm doing at my university
for my intercultural communication course. After talking to my friend, I wanted to study more about the cultural differences between the native teachings rooted in culture and what Hawaiian students, like my friend, have experienced on the mainland in other schools or colleges.
I've been going through different articles in Hūlili, the Multidisciplinary Research on Hawaiian Well-Being, and based this survey off some of the items I've seen there.
