  • ONIPA'A is what must echo throughout our islands and no more sound to let haoles think we are divided. Ke Akua neva
wanted us as a nation to separate. This must never be. Over a hundred years ago, our kupunas stepped on these shores
when no white man thought to and saw what we see today - PARADISE. They were not seperatists. They did not have makas that saw what they themselves wanted - individuality, a place for them and their keikis and to build a future for their
mo'opunas to come, NO, they saw hawaii as simply a place they could all call - HOME. Before Aliis, our kupunas were light bearers and our elderly chanted to us stories of where we came from and why we were here and to what we all were building to. Shortly, out of Tahiti, came Paoa and though, he came and brought with him individuality, he also taught us what made us unique. Then our leaders became "aliis". We all worked the aina and when a decision needed to be made,
our aliis made these that affected us all. Thus, came shortly, Na Alii Kamehameha who united the hawaiian islands.
Now, we were one nation under Akua. One people. One language. One Soul.
