My father had always been quiet about family. I never met my tutu Geraldine Akua Davis. She lived in Honolulu during the 1940's thru the 60's. She was originally from Moloka'i. My grandfather Raymond K. Davis, also lived on O'ahu., and was from either the windward or North Shore area. My father Henry, was born in Honolulu, 1930, and lived in the Waikiki/Kapahulu area,

Much of my family history, on my father's side is a mystery. He seldom spoke of his family, he did mention what it was like growing up in Hawai'i during WWII, and his family having a small farm, but then he at one time told me that he had grew up in Honolulu, near Kapahulu. Even in the 1940's, I don't think Kapahulu was noted for its farms. He also mentioned having two brothers and a sister (unfortunately, I don't remember their names, and can't ask my father, since he has long joined our ancestors), and that his mother was from Moloka'i.
Aloha mai. Those names don't sound familiar to me but I will ask my family and friends. Sometimes by word of mouth (email or text or even Facebook) someone knows someone or... some thing.
