  • Sheridan,

Is "Woman who eats everything" honorable or derogatory? I like the phrase because it reminds me of 'Ai kanaka' it seems like woman that takes to shit from anyone!

Yesterday, I went to Fort Streetmall to protest 'Columbus' or Discovery Day, I've to so many protest that I couldn't remember if that was my first time. We burn the Papa Bulls in front the Catholic Church.

Later Pono, David Ma and myself --we went to restruant that use to be old Tin Tin near Hotel Street.

In July I had a sweep of the homeless on our shores and David Ma came to help. He was suppose to leave for Taiwan, instead he cancelled his flight. For me, the homeless sweep was difficult to handle. Which is why David stayed with me for another day. I was trying to stop people from committing suicide as they packed up to go no where. I lost one kept two others from trying and got all the children to another place before the arresting enforcements would have showed up. He did however leave for Taiwan the day after. He just returned back to Hawaii which is the reason why we had dinner together. Noting that he was still in a state of shocked, I asked Pono if it was okay so we had a lovely evening.

Daivd's a PHd candidate back in Taiwan. While in Taiwan he went to Saigon a city where extreme poverty and the rich live side by side. I thought he may have some kind of solution. None!!!! The area where the sweep occured the state or city is giving it to Disneyland as an outright purchase. Kooky!!!!

As for the children that got swept off the area, I keep checking to see if they are back in school, infant okay and don't know what their state of mind except to say it takes a while for children to process out their experience, if they ever do.

Pono Kealoha, is going to Maui to film the iwi (ancient bones) problem and I hope to have some documentation done too while he is gone. Pono has the expertise and the stamina to be at all places at once on any action that we do. Immediately after he puts it on Olelo or Youtube depending on which camera he uses. This documentary keeps everyone informed and the security or enforcement at bay or in check.

Secondly, we have idiots that needs to stay in check the ones that create unsafe incidents. The camera contains the action as a non-violent protest. Speaking ones mind and go home when it's over that's how all peaceful protest should come down. But, we have idiots that wants to anti up the protest to arresting, courts, fines etc.. What pisses me off is the ones that cause the incidents are no where to be found during the arresting part. That's the crap that get's on camera. You get to see who cause the incident and taking the credit for the no-where-to-be-found-confrontation-with-the-law-enforcement part. Courts can be trying for the arresting person, but the person that causes the over action are nowhere to be found.

False leadership and academic yada are prevelant here, forexample, Richard Kinney.

What Pono does is keep the camera's going and we need that documentation.

Forty million people living in Shanghi plus the expo visitors unbelievable.
    • Hi Kaohi,

I always like to read your posts. Woman Who Eats Everything was like an amazed compliment. You know how people are so rude sometimes when people who don't have much pull everything out of the fridge - just like Hawaii! I was never knowing what was going on because its all in Navajo, but when I hear the same phrase (every word is like six sentences) I start to wonder what they are saying. Always worried I'm doing something offensive without knowing it. In Hawaii a dumb kid can always offend someone with so many cultures swirling around. And all the languages. After a while I can tell what the content is even if Idon't understand one word. Remember unidentifiable Chinese and Filipino food? It was sort of like that. Guess they never saw a white person gobbling down mutton right off the grill in the yard. Never saw a white person in their house anyway- especially one that wasn't acting like an idiot. Once my daughter's boyfriend's father made the mistake of saying "How does it feel being in a REAL Indian house?" It was Christmas dinner. I saw my daughter get real worried about what was going to come out of my mouth. I took some liberty right there and said "I grew up in a "real Indian house. Spent a lot of hours turning pig intestines inside out with a chopstick." With sarcastic type tone like his. My mother was married to a Hawaiian and I didn't grow up in his house, but I wasn't going to let that guy make fun of me. He needed to shut it. Daughter stopped eating waiting for the other shoe to fall. Pueblo dude started to laugh and looked embarassed. No more trouble.

I couldn't eat the blood sausage. Just tasted awful to me. Also I saw the big plastic bowls of coagulating blood on the 110 degree kitchen table. This is nice, but no matter what I did, I couldn't eat more than one bite. I do OK with boiling pots of pig blood, but that old mutton blood had a smell to it. Once I was in a tiny hot kitchen with about 15 Dine family members and husband all gathered around coagulating blood. Suddenly the mood changed and husband reached out to me with a really special sheep part. Don't know what - somewhere from the chest or neck. Clearly everyone wanted it and talking stopped. Was I going to turn into an insulting white person right in front of the whole family? Not me, but I felt like I was getting married or something. Never knew when some meaningful thing might happen. It was kind of dark too. So I ate a few bites and decided the best thing was to share it back to husband. That was highly thought of, but I was spooked because it seemed like something happened. Know what I mean?

The Navajo and my grand daughter's Hawaiian dad used to talk on the phone about burying sheep heads and kalua pua. Is that right? Neither were phone talkers at all so it was slow going. Pretty interesting about comparing the imu and what not - and what they thought was important info. Short description of construction, two minute silence, then a question. Finally my daughter, different daughter than the one above, started yelling in the back ground "DOES SHE FIX YOU CHICKEN SOUP OR WHAT??" She knows I tell men I can eat but not cook. When he said "Yep," she knew I might disappear finally forever. They said they were going to meet up and exchange buried cooked things, but both of them screwed up so bad it never happened.

It was always a test situation. Once we were riding pretty fast through the rocks and desert and I saw him point at something quick. When I looked over there, I could not believe what I saw. There were really old pots (like thousands of years old) on top of skinny columns of sand about 12" to 24" tall. There was a big sand storm a few days before. The sand had blown away and left the pots up in the air. Thought I was dreaming as usual. In those days everything was heavenly. He pulled up and said, "Go take them." I was upset by that. I could not have approached the pots (still with brown paint on them) Even from 50' away, I could tell it was something powerful coming from there. Got a hard look that was about like what was coming from the pots. I was glad I was on my good horse. Later I got a story about how the jackass grave diggers or whatever wander around on people's ranches like they own them looking for these things. The can quickly find themselves surrounded by Dine packing rifles all hair in the wind on nuts horses. Can't think of anything in the world that would be more scary than that.

I heard a story on Tom Harttman (Free Speech TV) about the Onate and Columbus carpetbaggers and how they wrote about trafficing 10 and 12 year old girls from the Carribean. Couldn't find cities of gold so they grabbed all the little girls. I thought of that when you talked about the homeless and suicide. Columbus's brother actually wrote that they did not make good slaves. They killed their babies so they would not have to live the life they were living. Everything over in Taos is called "Kit Carson" like the parks. Kit Carson was a famous "mountain man" type who hunted down the local population and killed many of them like a bounty hunter. I don't get it. Why are these people honored every where. I will never get it.

What I know is that every Dine knows who General Philip Sheridan was. I learned this because that is my first name. He was the one who said "The only good Indian is a dead Indian." Later when my husband was in intensive care in Albuquerque and I was flying off the project, my project manager told me to watch my back because the contractor was saying this. After that I felt like I had body guards everywhere I went because all the flaggers, inspectors and some craft people were take no prisoners Dine. None of them knew my husband. Didn't matter. When he came to where I was living near the project, the landlord (who just moved there from the south) told me he didn't "want any trouble." EXCUSE ME? I told a flagger that guy just had no idea where he was yet. Next thing I know, two of the sweetest Dine guys (one mahu) asked me if there was anything needing to be taken care of. Not kidding. I was just putting one foot in front of the other having almost lost him. The Dine on the project stopped speaking English and were standing around with their arms folded up. I got my groove back just in time and told the contractor to knock off the crap or everybody was going to just go home and take some cattle to the sale barn. In the end the whole roadway blew up because the BIA engineers were worthless. Good thing I had all my photos and diaries because they tried to blame in on me. It's a wonder I didn't pass away right there instead of just relapsing with the old health problems.

On that same project suddenly 45 belly dumps showed up from New Mexico - from near here. My husband told me that his cousin had been working on a job in NM as a mason and their Dine foreman told them to work and stay in their motel rooms because of the same bunch. Everytime one of them stopped to give a load ticket to a Dine inspector he would tell him to find out what time it is. Harassing him. finally he had to tell me about it before he jerked him out of the truck. I told him to say "It's time to get a watch, honey." Next time I saw him on the grade I handed him a note that said "Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig." Next I took a look at all the drivers and picked the one that looked like a cattle person. I asked him if he knew a friend of mine in NM. Sure enough he had been to the sale barn with him recently. Voila. We all got out of there alive.

This kind of life is exhausting for every body. It is a waste of time and energy that could be used for more constructive things like being sure all the kids have enough food to eat. I cannot understand the point of it, but to keep thing going without people getting jerked out of trucks and beat to death I had to keep up with it. I remember one incident when it started raining and I was trying to get things shut down. So I was a white woman in a wet T shirt with a lost temper Dine inspector wanting to pull a superintendent out of his pickup. It was just a little pickup so I put my knee up against the door so when it came open he couldn't get out. I went back to the office and told my boss "Wooo hooo - old white woman on the grade in a wet T shirt saves the project from death and destruction again." We were 50 miles out in the middle of nowhere and ready to go home.

Almost getting arrested is not good. This has happened to me because I don't take any crap from Spanish cops around here. This embarasses them so they have to try to escalate things to a place where they can justify their bad behavior. They just seem pathetic to me. If only they could see where I have been and who I have lived around, they would stay away from me and not try to bait me by driving by my house at 50mph. It is a one lane blind curve. I don't care if they run into each other, but if they do they will probably tear up the front of the old adobe house. Then I would be homeless with 4 pet horses again. I just call their sergeant and invite him to come over for a chat. He always shows right up. Had to get pretty bad before I did that, now they really want to get me. It's crazy. The lies I've heard are a lot better than anything they've got. what is the most annoying about it is that if my husband was here or even if the owner of the ranch lived nearby, it would not be happening. They are just cowards - they know I have some kind of health trouble too. I try to imagine myself behaving this way toward a 59 year old Spanish lady with health trouble living in my neighborhood. Can't do it.
      • Sheriden,

I love reading what you post here. It's late so I have to do this tomorrow.
        • Hi Kaohi,

I think I learned everything I needed to know for life on Kauai. Remember how fast happy folks could turn into lethal weapons because they all know Karate? Every male friend I had could kick something down off a wall that was way up over his head and make it look easy. Hope by now there are plenty of girls over there that can do this too.

Somehow haoles seem to think that a pleasant and polite person is going to be a dumb pushover. Not really, although the habit of wanting to help and feed everybody is hard to overcome.

I'm so glad you headed for the hills. I am telling my children if the want to head for the hills they are more than welcome to go. I would love to see my children and grandchildren live here, but death will come too soon for them. Sadly, it will be exceptible to die rather than live a long life and touch the future with their existence.

I live on a res. type land base for native Hawaiians and their non or part hawaiian partners. DHHL where only 59% plus bloodquantum can enter by contract and live. But, because of the DU dumping in Waianae, I told my children that after I leave they don't have to keep it they can sell it and share the money. All that I ask that my ex-son-in-law be taken care of too. he came to live with me after my daughter divorced him. So I get to see my grandchildren too. Grandparents, we are separated--a nuttsy situation.

As I said before, I have a hanai grandson that is Chicano that comes to stay with me on weekends since he was 2 years old. He is now 5. I take him everywhere to protest meetings for de-occupation. He is a staple on the scene.

As for the $100,000 check, that was smart! I wonder if he got to spend the whole thing?
    • No place to spend it. My husband told me he was still trying to get people to buy him porn movies and a tv to watch them on. Probably the family member who was driving him around that day got to spend the whole thing. The disbursement of money wiped out a lot of what was left of the culture. "They" decided that only married spouses of dead people could benefit from the settlement. That included producing a white culture marriage certificate. Nobody knew what they were talking about. Many could speak no English. As I said before, some people do not know how to use telephones there. Hell on wheels horsemanship, no telephone skills. Sounds perfect. People had to become able to step forward and expose this requirement that was enabling "them" to withhold the money from widows who were out on the rez in hogans w/o water and electric. Since discussing death or anything to do with it is not possible, it was very difficult. They are the ones who used to call me Woman Who Eats Everything.

Pretty soon, in order to get the money and survive, The Navajo Nation, in accordance with being a sovereign state separate from AZ, made a common law marriage law. This was a mess because women who were trying to hold on to their sanity and cultural place in society suddenly became "married" to the men who they lived with children, etc. Every once in a while, a woman would introduce a man to me as her common law husband in a pointed way. In fact, I became "married" without being married also. This was a mess too. Then everything I owned was his, everything we owned was his and everything he owned was his. I am not that stupid, but had nothing to do with it. I was immediately in an unbalanced personally powerless situation.

More chisel/con: All Navajos working for Navajo owned contractors can get so called private medical insurance. All employees pay a premium for it. Everybody has free health Indian Health Services health care too. Most of the inspectors where I worked did not pay for company insurance. My husband did (without knowing anything about it). So when the big horse wreck happened, I called the insurance company and got the OK to get off the rez and took him to an orthopedic doctor I knew. Later, when things got worse we discovered that even though everything was in writing, the surgery was not paid for by the insurance because if the insured went to an IHS clinic before leaving the rez, they were not eligible for the private insurance coverage. Great. So in life threatening emergencys requiring immediate medical care, there is not insurance coverage. That is how I suddenly became "married." I knew about the common law marriage mess, put him on my private company insurance and got him off the rez where he survived.

Then he was in Albuquerque where there are many tribal members from many different nations. Yet, the operating room nurses were all yelling at him like he an idiot and kept asking me which agency I was from. It was really the end of us. Also before that first surgery, we had come off the ranch with no running water, fed all the stock in the dark and snow, then driven 90mph for 5 hours to get there in time. We looked like hillbillies for sure. That is the last time I showed up anywhere without my cleaned up bossy looking clothes on. he went into a 6 week IV antibiotic facility and I went back to work 1.5 hours drive away. A Spanish social worker kept calling me and telling me they were planning to put him on a plane back to the rez to a BIA hospital. I pulled out all the hellish haole stops I could and got there in an hour - company vehicle. Nurse says, "Are you his ride?" Like he is deaf. I say, " I am his ride and more. Step aside. He is not going anywhere." And so on.

One hospital in Taos was a catholic mess with old time pictures of nuns in habits on every wall. Also Pueblo workers everywhere. He was terrified of the photos and felt the Pueblos might kill him. Later I learned that might have been close to the truth. By the time he got out, all he wanted to do was go home. I kept running down Navajo women hoping he would talk to them, but he wouldn't because they were not in his clan. Even if he had no medical care. I had to chose between taking care of the horses on his ranch and taking care of him. I chose him (really hard), but he chose the horses and left for home while I was at work. Later, I moved everyone to a big ranch because the rez was going to kill us. The owner's wife was German and talked to him like he was an idiot. Yelling and waving her arms. One day he made a traditional sling and after she nagged at him he pitched a 4" cobble with it and nailed a tree about 100 yards away. Like 500 years of anger. Her Mexican hired guy couldn't even control his horse let alone rope. But he would work for $5.00 an hour. The day before he left for home he didn't say much except "Just tell her I'm a Jew." Poof. Two weeks later my health failed. I was going to go right down with him if I went after him again. He left a note that said, "I'll stay close to the fence so you can find me." All the shirts and other little things I ever gave him were all folded up on the couch. Boots. Jacket. It was winter and he was on foot.

So I still have the horses and still see him once in a while sitting up on the big Spanish horse from Monument Valley.

This is genocide. There is no comprehension that the Dine will not deal with medical insurance issues because it is considered very negative to plan for health problems. Maybe it is understood - that makes it worse. Everything he needed he was denied until I called and raised hell. GENOCIDE.

Obama is on the radio talking about all the failing infrastructure like bridges and highways. Work for everybody. Wish I could get better!

I will try to send you some photos of Spanish Colonial chip carving. I need to figure out how to make the color work.

  • Just having someone to talk to about the military intentionally poisoning our people and their land helps a bunch. Tad Davis from the Pentagon came up with a 2050 bunker type life style for Hawaii. If one cannot afford bunkering, filtered water, and psychological cave living then one needs to exit Hawaii.

So I have been asking for an exit plan for Hawaii and it's citizens paid from the military budget. Sorta what happened to the people in New Orleans and their Katrina move. It seems to me when Tad came to our community he talked like a 3-D gamer with no remorse for his prize kill. He was able to get to all heads of states which they all bent over. So very sad.

I did contact lawyers and they all ran for the hills too. Depleted Uranium is not safe, weak or low--it's deadly!

    Thanks a bunch!
    • It's all about money and playing golf. I was thinking about Katrina, too. If they continue to deny the danger, they will not be liable. I read an account last night of how the troops exposure to Agent Orange was "negligible." If they can continue to deny AO, they can do anything. People are still dropping dead from it. Dropping dead may be more acceptable than the relentless suffering.

What about the oceans? How is it that these Men In Charge do not know that the oceans support the planet. West Point graduates without a clue.
I was looking at contaminated uranium mines on the Navajo Nation. A man I knew over there named Billy Yellow was in John Wayne movies and also worked in the uranium mines. I met him the year before he died in 2003. He was supposed to be 102 years old. He died after he got his $100,000 uranium settlement check. He bought a new pickup and crashed it into a ditch - broke his leg. They took him to the BIA hospital and killed him there. In the end, the uranium finally got him. The first time I met him, he had a relative driving him around in the pickup and stopped where I was selling hay. There was a blonde truckers wife there with me. They had just brought us a load of hay. Billy was in a fit to get the door open and get a look at her. Such a fit that he couldn't find the door handle. It was hilarious. I told that trucker's wife that if she didn't stop wearing shorts out there she was going to get us all shot dead. He was always dressed in his ribbon shirt with his Navajo bun and loaded with tourqoise and silver. I found this postcard of him over here in New Mexico a while back. He was dressed like this every time I saw him.

His filmography on line states he died of "natural causes." There was nothing natural about it.

Tell me if you need any more info. You can look up superfund cleanup sites in Hawaii on the internet. This is interesting. Most of them just say they are "landfills." Filled with what? Also, it looks like the uranium mines on the rez needed a source of water because every one of them has photos of the mine site with a windmill or other pump near it where people come for water. Then a big red dot on the map for contamination. There is a place near Flagstaff where there are a lot of concrete foundations visible from the road with a gigantic mound of dirt behind them. My husband told me all the people who lived in those houses died. I knew this was a traumatic event for him to mention anything about death. I asked him what had happened there. He said, "Don't know. It's just like that." It's one thing to accept getting run over by insane horses or a tornado, and another to accept the evil of men coming onto the rez.

A long time ago it was time to head for the hills - I'm already there.

  • Collins,

This is an excerpt of Parties from the last mess that caused deaths, sickness and congenial birth defects. Having said this: I did the best I could at that time. I was caught off guard with the chaos. But, when it came to excepting a check for $15,000 I told them to shove it! Keep in mind I was and still 'em poor and sometimes in poverty, however, I am rich inside cause I know the difference between moral's and evil.

K.D. Construction, Inc.: Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, State of Hawaii; City and County of Honolulu; Board of Water Supply; Evanston Insurance company; Markel Corp; Pacific Hauling, Pineridge; Henry's Equipment; Kano Trucking; anaka Trucking; Royal Contractors; Grace Pacific; Island Landscaping, Inc; Road Builders, Inc; Structural Pest Control; and Aloha steel Corp.

All the above created their own private dump site which is adjacent to my house. This dump site turned into a military surface dump site for Depleted Uranium. Which the Atomic EnergyCommission and the Nuclear Regulatory Agency considered by their standards safe, weak and low. However, what the locals don't understand is that this 19 acre surface dumpsite is made up of U 234, U235, and U 238 and yes plutonium too. The Babers Point and Schofield and other military bases have different Depleted Uranium. The military denied for a number of years the use of DU in their live fireing, however, through freedom of information, they had to admit to their lie.

In the mean time after facing the military in community meetings for 10 years Tad Davis (Pentagon) came to Hawaii made a research deal with UH Manoa scientist (psuedo) and my so-called leaders in Waianae Community bought the whole idea of receiving the contaminated soils. The soils are trucked into Waianae to be dumped into land surface dumping. This has been going on since all of the above grouped together more than ten years ago.

And because of the admittance to DU, the pentagon came to Hawaii with their NRC people and held an open meeting in Wahiawa where the citizens agreed with the military that their DU be removed for the safety of the military families on Schofield and trucked to Waianae. Once such place was Makua military reserve to build a firelane.

My people are drunk with Christianity like the sheep that they are so very difficult to talk about the truckers dusting the Farrington Highway with nano particles of DU. This is the same highway that our children catch the morning bus to get to school and return in the afternoon. Our children are so exposed and how this poison works that it takes years to destroy. So this construction job will be over only to leave truckers dying and sick children, congenial birthdefects our for now weekend parties. To bury the dead, feel sad for parents with their congenial birth defects and their SID babies. I'm being disgusting and rambling on about the real world. Ten years of this stuff get's nutso!!!!

I strongly believe that we need evidence etc. but with so much truckers on the take etc.. their families in support of these type of operations, I just shake my head and wonder what the hell else can I do.

I did go before the AEC and the NRC in Jan 13 2010, came home and almost got arrested on Jan 17, 2010 for practicing public law 95-341 at Iolani Palace.

I've been educating Maoliworld ever since on the details of what happens with DU "Discounted Casualties" by Akira Tashiro.

So thanks for your thumbs up on soil and what we should be looking out for, maybe this time I could do a better job other than turning down a pay off of evil cheap $15,000 for the destruction of my health and living with the many deaths occurring during the time of constructing their surface dumpsite for the military.
    • They could be getting paid to haul the good material off AND hauling bad material on. If you want to look menacing, just clip a few papers onto a clip board, put a couple of pens in your shirt pocket and take a walk around. If you use a lead holder in your pocket it will seem official. Don't forget your sunglasses. I knew an inspector in Alaska who was so tired of seeing poor construction that was bound to fail that he would pull over in his personal vehicle, put on his hard hat and walk around with a clip board. Then drive away without a word. Very effective.
