Being your keiki's first kumu

Aloha all! I wanted to share with everyone a GREAT resource for 'ohana. Keiki O Ka Aina Family Learning Center (the one that was helped by Extreme Home Makevoers) is a non-profit organization that has MANY awesome (FREE) prgrams out there. I wanted to share about one in particular with you all. It's called Kulia I Ka Nu'u. Kulia I Ka Nu'u, is a program that meets with makua of 3-4 year old keiki once a week for about an hour. During the meeting a parent educator will teach makua a week's worth of curriculum to do at home with their keiki, which takes about 15 minutes a day, five days a week. Also at the meetings childcare is provided for no charge. There are many perks with this program some of them being, you get to be your child's first and best teacher and you'll get to be productive with your child. This is a great resource for keiki who aren't enrolled in preschool and a great supplement for those who are in preschool. :) If you have any question please contact me at NoheaKOKA@yahoo.com (Nohea) or call Keiki O Ka Aina @ 843-2502 (ask for a Kulia Parent Educator) www.keikiokaaina.org Mahalo a nui!!
