Hawaiian Nationals.......what is this..............a newly concocted word to accommodate some?

                                                     overview by Amelia Gora (2013)

Let's look at the manipulation, maneuvering of the language used to identify our Hawaiian people.....those who lived here for 3-5,0000 years............

1758- Present

Terms used:

Natives

Kanaka Maoli -  this term was used by Kauikeouli/Kamehameha III; and used in the 1890 Census in the Hawaiian Islands

Subjects -  this term was used in our Monarchy form of Government

Native Hawaiian - this was used regularly by Queen Liliuokalani.  Recently with the Rice vs. Cayetano case, this word was utilized by Americans and all born in the Hawaiian Islands to claim that they could use this and could be entitled to participate in lands, funds, monies belonging to the koko, blood lines of those who were here pre-Captain Cook period.

For a group who declares that there was no Annexation...the following was posted......:

" in the Federal U. S. Organic Act of Hawaii, April 30,1900 C339, 31 Stat 141 Section 4
recognized Hawaiian Nationals as it states, "That all persons who were citizens of the Republic of Hawaii  on August 12, 1898, are hereby declared to be citizens of the Territory of Hawaii,"
" 93 % of then Hawaii's
population who were not citizens of the Republic of Hawaii were of "natural birthright or naturalization", " this was changed by Pilipo's, Leon's, Keanu Sai's group calling this the "Hawaiian Nationals of the Ko Hawaii Pae Aina."

If Hawaii is a Fake State, the Hawaiian National group recognizes the Statehood Admissions Act under the following terms:

"Hawaii Statehood Admissions Act of March 18, 1959, Pub L 863, 73 Stat 4, Section 19, affirms, "Nothing contained in this Act shall operate to confer United States Nationality, nor to terminate nationality heretofore lawfully acquired of birth or naturalization to Ko Hawaii Pae Aina, or restore nationality heretofore lost under any law of the United States or under any Treaty to which the United States is or was a party".

Note:  as for the Treaty, it has nothing to do with the people/subjects of the Hawaiian Kingdom because it was made only to the King, his descendants/heirs and successors and the President..............and NOT to the people, the subjects, the natives of the Hawaiian Islands.

Per Pilipo:  Hawaiian Nationals are "not persons"
So, WHAT ARE Hawaiian Nationals if not a person.........a place or thing?
Comments:
It is obvious that we are not on the same page.....................because we represent the two main parts of the three part Hawaiian Government.............
1)  Sovereign
2)  House of Nobles
3) House of Representatives - applies to the voted in part which is all others who are NOT part of the first two Permanent branches.

In other words, Keanu Sai, et. als. are likened to the Provisional Government of 1893 and move to usurp What already is in fact legal, lawful, and already in place.

Aloha kakou he Hawaii au,

Well the time is upon us.

In 1897, 38,000 Hawaiian Nationals stood up and signed the Ku'e Petition Against Annexation, and the lawful Annexation of Hawaii failed for the second time. What will we do in 2013?

In its existence, the Territorial and State of Hawaii Legislature has recognized everything from Opihi to Monk Seals but not Hawaiian Nationals. Even in the Federal U. S. Organic Act of Hawaii, April 30,1900 C339, 31 Stat 141 Section 4
recognized Hawaiian Nationals as it states, "That all persons who were citizens of the Republic of Hawaii  on August 12, 1898, are hereby declared to be citizens of the Territory of Hawaii, which means that the 93 % of then Hawaii's
population who were not citizens of the Republic of Hawaii were of "natural birthright or naturalization", Hawaiian Nationals of the Ko Hawaii Pae Aina.

Secondly, the Hawaii Statehood Admissions Act of March 18, 1959, Pub L 863, 73 Stat 4, Section 19, affirms, "Nothing contained in this Act shall operate to confer United States Nationality, nor to terminate nationality heretofore lawfully acquired of birth or naturalization to Ko Hawaii Pae Aina, or restore nationality heretofore lost under any law of the United States or under any Treaty to which the United States is or was a party".

Hawaiian Nationals are "not persons"

Please send written testimony or appear at the Hearing with testimony.

Please pass along to list-serves

A KU’E opportunity...

Please SUPPORT the resolution RECOGNIZING that HAWAIIAN NATIONALS still exist!

State Representative Faye Hanohano introduced House Resolution 23 (HR23) in the State Legislature, “Recognizing Hawaiian Nationals as a population residing lawfully in the Hawaiian Islands.”  It needs your SUPPORT to pass.

The first hearing of HR23 is
 scheduled for:
Wednesday, February 13, 2013 10:50AM
State Capitol conference room 325
before the House OMH Committee (Ocean Marine Resources & Hawaiian Affairs) chaired by Rep. Hanohano

The text of HR23 is attached,
 or can be found at:http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/session2013/bills/HR23_.htm

The hearing notice, along with links to submit testimony, is at: http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/session2013/hearingnotices/HEARING_OMH-WAL_02-13-13_2_.HTM

This is a simple, common sense resolution
that should be supported not only by Hawaiian Nationals, but by anyone who cares about stopping oppression and discrimination on the basis of nationality. Think about HR23 as a way to add our voice Ku’e to the petitions of our kupuna.

If HR23 passes, it will effectively protect Hawaiian Nationals from the current nationality-based discrimination and mistreatment by government and other interests operating in Hawaii. In essence it says, Hawaiian Nationals belong here; there is nothing wrong with being a Hawaiian National; so stop treating Hawaiian Nationals as if we are illegal aliens.

GET READY!
Prepare a short and sweet testimony about why youSUPPORT the State of Hawaii recognition of Hawaiian Nationals “as a population residing lawfully in the Hawaiian Islands” and submit your written testimony 24 hours before the Wednesday hearing.

ALSO, please make an effort to attend the hearing on Wednesday so you can give your testimony in person. Often they will allow on-the-spot oral testimonies even if you haven’t made a prior submission in writing.

Mahalo nui loa,
Leon

  • Small piece of info about Keanu Sai, et. als. (this message was originally posted on Tane's thread):

.after the wrongful dethronement of Queen Liliuokalani, many of our Alii moved to Aetearoa...according to some of the Alii there, the Maori are actually "Maui" people and many of the places in Aetearoa are named after the various Maui lands as well......met this Alii/Arii named Matthew years ago and he was arrested with a cousin of ours named Herbert Pratt.....Matthew looked like a Hawaiian and the Police didn't listen to his accent.....as it turned out, the State engaged in an international incident because Matthew was one of Aetearoa's Representatives and he had immunities. We had a neat discussion, a very heart lifting prayer in the Archives and I hoped to see him again.... had the pleasure of meeting him thanks to cousin.....btw my cousin Herbert Pratt had at one time formed a pact with Donald Lewis and Keanu Sai. Cousin said that Sai followed by Donald Lewis changed what was originally planned and he left them at the beginning......Perfect Title was formed, there were hotel engagements which packed in attorneys listening to Sai's explanations, etc. Then the State, et. als. arrested Sai, etc. Donald Lewis keeps up with Hawaiian issues by reading the IOLANI - The Royal Hawk news on the web......and Donald there's a Protective Order for you.......aloha.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4sIs09dGUl8
