Halawa Valley Heiau Complex Access
Aloha mai, I work as an alaka'i/kako'o at the heiau compelx for the past ~4years. Will be having an access on June7,2008.

If you are interested, there will be cultural tour/hike, followed by a work period to help matain and clean the area. Please dress apprpriately, long pants, shoes, shirt that can get dirty. 9am-12ish, lunch will be provided. Please rsvp, or contact me directly so I may have a head count.

Directions to the Area,
Coming from Westside, Head on H-1 till you see Stadium/ Halawa Exit. Follow signs to Halawa Valley.
Coming From Eastside, take H-1 to Moanalua, the take Halawa Exit, At stoplight make right hand turn onto Halawa Valley Street.

Once on Halawa Valley Street, go until to you see Hawaiian Cement, turn left into Hawaiian Cement. The main part. Go thru Hawaiian Cement staying on your left. Continue till you see a gate at the top left hand side near the H-3 Freeway, go thru gate and continue on access road until you reach the heiau complex.
