The Empire Church and State Myth

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The National Archives the Constitution of the United States

It begins in most religions, that in order to know your particular God you must first deny every other God.  That is if you want to stay in your religion.  The United States and or United States of America (which ever branch of service you may be addressing) would have you believe that there is a separation of Church and State is greatly mistaken.  No prayer in schools, no room for religion in government, as we have learned in the decision of Johnson vs. McIntosh that Chief Justice John Marshall put into his own words (prejudiced by my point of view) that referencing the Christian domination of the newly acquired lands by the European’s had dominion over these unoccupied lands (the new world) by the non-Christians that John Cabot discovered was based on the papal bull of Borgia (Inter Caetera May 4 1493), requested by King Henry VII (the land Cabot came across was actually Nova Scotia Canada).

The Empire-Domination Model

This assumes that an entity can discover a country of inhabited, dependent non-Christian, heathens and convert them to Christianity by the right of “Requerimiento” (a must read).  It is the ceremony of reading the declaration in the native language of the navigators (which would be Latin, Portuguese, Spanish, etc.)  and/or mentioning terra firma or prima terra vista (flat land; ground as distinct from the sea or air; beautiful land) along with whatever bells and whistle (priests, holy men, etc.) which the navigators could muster as John Cabot did as noted by Justice Marshall.

  • In that case, Chief Justice John Marshall said that "discovery" of "heathens" by "Christian People" gave the Christians an "ultimate dominion" (right of empire and domination) over the "discovered" Indians. After Christian "discovery", said Marshall, the Indians peoples' rights to "complete sovereignty, as independent nations", were "diminished." Supposedly, the Indians were left with the mere 'right' to occupy their ancestral lands, subject to U.S. dominion.  Based it on the independence of 1776 from Great Britain.

Definition of a Papal Bull:           bull; a formal proclamation issued by the pope (usually written and sealed with a leaden bulla and is issued by a Pope of the Catholic Church out of the Vatican.  The following is an excerpt from European Treaties bearing on the History of the United States and its Dependencies to 1648, edited by Frances Gardiner Davenport, Washington DC, Published by the Carnegie Institution of Washington, 1917, publication 254, J Franklin Jameson, Editor. The editor states in his Preface with regard to the documents that, “…In a few cases, access to authentic and exact texts of them (the papal bulls) is far from easy.  In a few cases, as the researches made for this volume have shown, they do not exist in print.” (Davenport, iii)

As translated from Latin from Pope Alexander states in his inter caetera, “…to the honor of Almighty God and the spread of Christian government as well as the exaltation of the catholic faith to carry out your holy and praiseworthy purpose…emphasis added.” (Davenport, 56)

This separation of Church and State needs to be re-addressed because it seems to be the FIRST myth and not in-compliance with the First Amendment.
