"Haweo: when my grandfather was Hanai he was given the last name Kaiakapu. But his brothers and sisters have either the following last names: Kauakahi, Pauole, or Keaweehu. James Pua Keaweehu is my GG Grandfather who was the foreman of what is now…"
"Hawea, my grandfather has pictures of her. The confusing part is that there were many name changes because my grandfather's parents were both of Alii bloodline, had an arranged marriage, and were too young to care for the eldest children."
Aloha Kakou,Looking for any info you might have on her. I was told Kamehaitu Helela was a pule/oli writer for both Queen Emma & Queen Lili'u. When I google her name, I get chants and songs that she has written but nothing about her. This is my wife's hawaiian lineage and unfortunately there is not too much info known about her within the ohana. A mahalo nui loa in advance.Hawea Kaahanui AilaSee More
Aloha Haweo. Actually I live on Kauaʻi. But I am going to come to Oahu on the 23rd to the 26th of July for my cousins graduation party. Message me your phone number and Iʻll sure call you when I get there. Iʻm also making arrangement to go to the Polynesian Culture Center so hopefully Iʻll get to see you somewhere over there in Kaneohe. Take care and Aloha!
This is actually my wifes mo`okuauhau. Im trying to pick up where others have left off. I know they come fromd Kalihiwai, Kauai. Im not sure if they came from Niihau prior.....probably with the 'T' in her name. Have you ever heard any of these names before? Mahalo for any info you can provide.
