"Proof can be had from the works on the natural law that liberty and independence belong to man by his very nature, and that they cannot be taken from him without his consent ... But the whole body of the Nation, the State, so long as it has not voluntarily submitted to other men or other Nations, remains absolutely free and independent." - The Law of Nations

I am looking for someone who can help with my genealogy research for
Annie Mauna Vera Cruz who was married to Willie Adolpho. I see a
reference to them on the Adolpho genealogy web site. It said “Willie was born in Feb 1879 in Lihue, Kauai Hawaii. He died on 16 Feb 1946 in Honolulu, Oahu. Willie married Mauna Davis on 1 Jan 1899 in Lihue, Kauai Hawaii.

and someone who can help me with Annie Mauna Vera Cruz's genealogy. I am
related to her and am trying to understand the relationship and to go
further back on our Hawaiian site. I appreciate any help you could
provide. Mahalo nui loa!

Aloha.

Rose Kuapahi married my granduncle David Kanei (Wainiha). How far have you gone back on the Kuapahi line?

Aloha.

Spoke to cousin Jennie for three and half hours tonight. Catching up old times and making new memories. I've been working and sharing genealogy with my 'ohana since meetingher in 1989. She is always been a favorite stop over in Waimea for many years until I moved back to O'ahu and furthered my education at University of Hawaii, then to Gonzaga University and now at Capella University for my doctorate in Education. Overall, genealogy has been my passion and sharing it with her is always been a blessing. Thank you for contacting her. I'll be calling her on a weekly basis and planning a Namaka'eha Reunion on Kauai soon!

Does this Kuapahi same 'ohana in Wainiha? Yes, Miriam Kahema Namaka'eha mother is Jennie Kanei from Wainiha who marry Samuel Namaka'eha Kamelamela. Miriam's grandfather is Kanei Kaioe who marry Kawailani. Kanei Kaioe died 1894. I best friend from high school is Haunani Kupihea. She told me that her family side from Kaua'i is Kuapahi too. I'm eager to give cousin Jennie a call, or you call me asap too 688-1325.
