  • Mahalo,

I contacted Luna Hauanio on his facebook (?) I hope he writes back to me much aloha for your responding to me about Adachi Eaton.

  • Aloha Kehau,

I returned to my blog after a long time, could you please tell me more about Adachi Eaton.  I was very close with him during the Kahoolawe years as well as the De Leon Brothers Keoni and Earl.

Would like to know how was he, and what was he involve in and did he talk if any about Kahoolawe in the after math.

Love your pictures thanks so much for sharing.

  • i have my work uploaded on a couple of art sights. but you give me too much credit lol.
  • eh glad you enjoyed my pictures. nah i don't sell any anywhere, and lol everyone says that about my Ku'ilioloa. i think its because when people think of an anthropomorphic dog god they automatically think of Anubis.
  • Aloha Kehau,
welcome to Maoliworld, I am very political and spend a lot of time on the forum. My last visit to Kono was with George Nahope and Moe Keale. I was in Kailua Kona with Adachi Eaton and the other Kahoolawe Ohana in the 70s in our fight against the military. Stopping the Bombing was staple and consumed our life.

Pat Piene did the carvings for the Heiau I can see the figures in the background. He lives in Waianae and does beautiful carvings. Although my master carver in Puloto Tuiene from Laie, we recently helped Leon Siu gather the palm trees stump from the Iolani Palace. This is my own opinion, cutting a tree down when a warrior dies is my manao, I believe that was the case at the Iolani Palace. The Hawaiian Flag was lowered at the time it was cut. Check out Pono Kealoha he did some shooting during the gathering at Iolani Palace. I believe the palm tree stumps will be made into pahu's not sure because according to Leon the stumps (forgot the Hawaiian name) are difficult to carve into. Malama Pono
