  • Aloha e Kawehi,

Mahalo....I just took that picture in Anahola on my Kaua`i trip this weekend. I "love" picking shells. I wish it could be my lifelong job. lol! Yup counting sand. I'm upset about the military being upstream from the water system. Probably why the waters are murkey...if the Hewahewa `ohana does get control of the valley, I hope they test the waters for depleted uranium before going into the water. The valley is a treasure and I understand you wanting to get away from the touristyness of things. Maybe you might want to consider making it a ground zero for some educational venture. Maybe a Hawaiian charter school or something. but that is up to you all. I've visited the audobon and been able to tour a couple of times with David Orr as far as plants go, there are some treasures there. I hope they can be maintained. I'm glad the ohana got to see the valley. What does OHA have up there sleeves. Spooky....
  • Kawehi,

Is this a "private" dialog, or is every communication open to all your "friends"? I don't know that I'm comfortable tallking my thoughts in a public arena. Val may think differently.

I've been thinking a lot about Waimea and what is surfacing.
I'll write it, but prefer it be kept private.

    ke aloha no,
    Donna
