  • Aloha e Kaleo,
Yes, I have been interested in genealogy for almost 2 decades now. That came by accident. I got bored doing my own family and started off doing my cousins' other family branches, like the Puaa/Pali side, Dudoit, Smith and many others. I left Molokai back in 1985 but you probably know my cousins, the Loo family. Maybe my cousin Lingy is around your age? I'm a mondoy, not many people carry that name anymore on that island w/ the exception of my uncle Johnny who lives behind the high school, my cousin Chad whom I think lives in Maunaloa side, my bruddah Pernell and Chad's grandma my Aunty Dolly. The Dumags/Hubins/Keahis are my family too along as I mentioned the Loo family, coming from my dad's side. My mom's side I'm just not close to them. Got the Bush clan, some of the Iaeas too. When I go home I'll look into my database and see what little I have on your 'ohana. My Dudoit cousins are Daniele and Janelle Keahi. Their paternal grandma was Ella Dudoit who married Keahi (1st marriage) then Rodrigues. Then my cousins Henry and Minnie Sanchez whose mom's maternal grandma was Emily Dudoit, sister to Ella Dudoit. I was told that Aunty Midgie Nakagawa had a lot of the genealogy but I told my cousin Danie that I neva like ask her but next time I see her I'll talk to her about it.
  • Aloha e Kaleo,

Mahalo for your Aloha and working with kids. `Ae, I love to talk story about plants and culture anytime. I have worked with Kanu O ka Aina in the past and know Nalei, Ku, Didi, Auhea, Waimakalani, Dannelle Coakley, Nicole Anakalea in the past. Love that gang..! This year was my first year I worked with Kukulu Kumuhana O Honaunau and it was an amazing life experience for me. It's seems our goals are very similar. We also have ties to Moloka`i. Our best friend Kui lives at Puko`o and my husband just visited mana`e two weeks ago. We love it there and miss our dear friends. but yah, anytime we can wala`au feel free to do so anytime on maoliworld.

Mahalo for the comment bout my pictures....here is one for you. I believe it was taken in your nick of the woods....:)
