Aloha Kakou,

I'm trying to look up family from the big island.  The only search tool I have is search engines.  My resources is very limited especially living on the island of Lana'i.  Does anyone know where I could write, ask or search?  All I've know is Lana'i and family here.  I want to learn where I'm from and what my real roots are.  My mom passed away before I could really ask her about all this.  Mahalo if anyone can help me. Mahalo piha

Alice married Alfred Kimokeo and they had about a dozen children. If this is your "ohana", it is "Nui". This family is Waimea and Kohala history from late 1800 to now. My ohana ties into Abigail Elizabeth Kapeka Mana's grandmother. These families include Lindsey, Merseburgh,Kealamakia,Sproat,Ching, Stevens, Spencer, etc. Go to the Library and read about "paniolo's of Parker Ranch. Mormon church has lots of info on these families. Children of Alfred and Alice are: Alfred Jr., Clarence, Charles, Henery, Evelyn, Pauline, Ester, Alice, daughter Kimokeo married Ah Ahho, daughter Kimokeo married David Arcangel, daughter Kimokeo married Frank Lawrence. Hope this helps, Aloha!
