The coup led to the dissolving of the Kingdom of Hawaii two years later, its annexation as a U.S. territory and eventual admission as the 50th state in the union. The first European contact with Hawaii was made in 1778 by Capt. James Cook. In the 19th century, traders and missionaries came to the islands from Europe and the United States. They often opposed the Hawaiian monarchy, favoring instead a British-style constitutional monarchy where the monarch held little power. In 1874, David Kalakaua became king and sought to reduce the power of the white Missionary Party (later Reform Party) in the government. In 1887, angered by King Kalakaua’s extravagant spending and his attempts to dilute their power, a small group of Missionary Party members, known as the Hawaiian League, struck back against the king. Led by Lorrin A. Thurston and Sanford B. Dole, the Hawaiian League drafted a new constitution that reduced the power of the king and increased the power of the cabinet and Legislature. It also extended voting rights to wealthy noncitizens, while excluding Asians and restricting access for native Hawaiians through land-owning and literacy provisions. Backed by a militia, the group used the threat of violence to force King Kalakaua to sign the constitution, which became known as the Bayonet Constitution. King Kalakaua died in 1891 and was succeeded by his sister, Liliuokalani, who proposed a new constitution that would restore powers of the monarchy and extend voting rights for native Hawaiians. The queen’s actions angered many of Hawaii’s white businessmen, who formed a 13-member Committee of Safety with the goal of overthrowing the monarchy and seeking annexation by the United States. The Jan. 29, 1893 edition of The New York Times recounted the events of the coup. On Jan. 16, Hawaiian Marshal Charles B. Wilson attempted to arrest the committee members and declare martial law, but his attempts were turned down by other government officials who feared violence. The next day, after a police officer was shot and wounded trying to halt the distribution of weapons to the Committee of Safety’s militia, the committee decided to put its coup into action. Near the queen’s ʻIolani Palace in Honolulu, the committee’s militia gathered and were joined by 162 U.S. Marines and Navy sailors who were ordered by John L. Stevens, U.S. Minister to Hawaii, to protect the committee. The queen surrendered peacefully to avoid violence. The Committee of Safety established a provisional government headed by Mr. Dole. U.S. President Grover Cleveland opposed the provisional government and called for the queen to be restored to power, but the Committee of Safety established the Republic of Hawaii and refused to cede power. In 1895, Hawaiian royalists began a coup against the republic, but it did not succeed. Queen Liliuokalani was arrested for her alleged role in the coup and convicted of treason; while under house arrest, the queen agreed to formally abdicate and dissolve the monarchy. In 1898, the United States annexed Hawaii. Hawaii was administered as a U.S. territory until 1959, when it became the 50th state. Connect to Today: In 1993, Congress issued an apology to the people of Hawaii for the U.S. government’s role in the overthrow and acknowledged that “the native Hawaiian people never directly relinquished to the United States their claims to their inherent sovereignty.” And, since 2000, Senator Daniel K. Akaka of Hawaii, who is soon to retire, has repeatedly proposed to Congress the Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act, also known as the Akaka Bill, which would extend sovereignty to 400,000 native Hawaiians. In 2005, The Times described the bill: “The measure would give [Native Hawaiians] equivalent legal standing to American Indians and native Alaskans and lead to the creation of a governing body that would make decisions on [their] behalf … The governing body would also have the power to negotiate with federal and state authorities over the disposition of vast amounts of land and resources taken by the United States when the islands were annexed in 1898.” Supporters say the bill is necessary to protect native culture and redress Hawaiians for past injustices. Opponents say the bill is unworkable and would create a racially divided state. In Hawaii the Akaka Bill is opposed by a few white apologists for the American-sponsored overthrow and subsequent annexation–and by many Native Hawaiians who feel it’s not a reasonable alternative to the national independence that was wrongfully taken away and either (a) continues to exist in law, needing only to be lived out, or (b) must someday be restored. The argument for the Akaka Bill, also held by many Native Hawaiians, is that Hawaii today is clearly a part of the USA, with a huge American military presence, and that for the United States to recognize Native Hawaiians as something like American Indians is better than nothing and may have practical advantages. The author states, “Queen Liliuokalani was arrested for her alleged role in the coup and convicted of treason; while under house arrest, the queen agreed to formally abdicate and dissolve the monarchy.” but agreeing to abdicate is very different from temporarily yielding her authority because of unjust circumstances. She did, indeed, yield her authority to avoid bloodshed but fully expected her authority to be returned after the President of the U.S. and congress had the opportunity to investigate the circumstances around the overthrow. That is far from the definition of “abdicate”! Here is the Queen’s statement yielding her authority and protesting the illegal overthrow on January 17, 1893: “I Liliʻuokalani, by the Grace of God and under the Constitution of the Hawaiian Kingdom, Queen, do hereby solemnly protest against any and all acts done against myself and the Constitutional Government of the Hawaiian Kingdom by certain persons claiming to have established a Provisional Government of and for this Kingdom. Stevens, has caused United States troops to be landed at Honolulu and declared that he would support the Provisional Government. January 18, 2012 4:25 am Link The thing I wanted to clarify most was that Hawai`i was NOT annexed in 1898. It may sound like semantics, but I think it’s a crucial distinction. What was passed in 1898 was the Newlands Resolution, which was a joint-resolution passed by the US Congress. It was and is an internal/domestic resolution and has no power outside of America. At that time Hawai`i was very clearly it’s own country and it isn’t possible that the US ‘annexed’ Hawaii through a joint-resolution–they would need a treaty of annexation, which was never ratified. For example, America could not today pass legislation that makes another country part of the US, nor could the State of California say, “aaaaand, now Utah is also ours”–there has to be an agreement between parties. 1875 -A Fraud Deed was claimed to Pearl Harbor and signed by King David Kalakaua in 1875. The problematic issue being that the true deed was made prior to the Mahele of 1848, due to the Halawa lands - including Pearl Harbor belonged to John Young/Olohana, the father of Grace Kamaikui who was awarded John Young's ahupuaa/Halawa lands - including Pearl Harbor in 1848. Grace Kamaikui has descendants: Hueu, Kale, and Peke Davis, and whose descendants existed then and exists today.

( you can locate the Fraud Deeds by going to the First Circuit Court and reviewing the Condemnation cases by the U.S. Government/ entity State of Hawaii vs. Bernice Pauahi Bishop Estates aka's Trustees).

The FRAUD Deed to Pearl Harbor documented in the Condemnation Case. King David Kalakaua deeded lands of Halawa to Grace Kamaikui and Mataio Kekuanaoa. The problems that surfaced in the court case include the facts that Grace Kamaikui died in 1866, and Mataio Kekuanaoa died in 1868.

1875 - a Fraud Deed was made affecting Pearl Harbor and used in the Treaty of Reciprocity signed by King David Kalakaua who had no interest in the lands of Halawa which was conveyed to John Young's and Isaac Davis wife Grace Kamaikui.

King Kalakaua deeded already deeded lands of Halawa which included Pearl Harbor to deceased ancestors Grace Kamaikui and Mataio Kekuanaoa.

1878 - Fear of the Japanese by the U.S. was documented. The Pacific Cable Company was formed by Charles Reed Bishop and Friends.

1893 - January 17. American businessmen, treasonous persons, conspirators supported by the U.S., England, and the Morgan bankers (includes the international bankers) moved to dethrone Queen Liliuokalani.

1) Lorrin Thurston - missionary descendant. He was born in the islands.

2) William C. Wilder - steamship company which does business in the islands.

5) Charles L. Carter - lawyer.

Princess Kaiulani's father - Archibald Cleghorn 'got lost somewhere between Chicago and Washington'. From Salt Lake City and former resident from Hawaii, William A. Kinney, lawyer met them as an advisor.

Dr. Smith/Dr. Mott Smith, a representative from the Hawaiian Islands in Washington, D. C. met the five (5) from Hawaii.

Dr. Smith/Dr. Mott Smith's assistant was Thomas Akaka, ancestor of current day Daniel Akaka who moves with the Akaka Bill, with purposes of defrauding all Hawaiian aboriginals/kanaka maoli, etc.

Now, to get back to the above posted document, $5,000 was made available for five (5) members to travel to Washington D.C. Appears Cleghorn did not want to be directly associated with the treasonous group and happend to have gotten "lost". Cleghorn was the brother-in-law of Queen Liliuokalani due to his marriage to Princess Miriam Likelike and the parents of Princess Kaiulani. Pushing aside the reason for travel at the Hawaiian Kingdom expense for economic plans with the U.S., the travel monies granted in the Legislative Session of 1892, and approved for use on January 5, 1893, was used instead for treasonous activities involved plans to "secure annexation with the United States". The language added "We citizens and representatives of the Hawaiian Islands, organizing and acting for the public safety and the common good, hereby proclaim that a Provisional government for the control and management of public affairs and the protection of the public peace is hereby established. to exist under terms of union with the United States of America have been negotiated and agreed upon." "The terms upon which the annexation shall be made.......................we shall remain here until our object is accomplished or our application is rejected."

Bringing this thread forward again because of the ongoing court case................

Pass this information on to many because most people in the islands don't know that the STATE OF HAWAII brought suit against the Kamehameha's Heirs...................

Now the suit is over the CROWN LANDS people!

So why aren't the University of Hawaii Professors keeping the information from their students?

Doesn't that say a lot already?

The CRIMES of the past is being perpetuated by the supporters of those who dethroned our Queen in 1893..........and I actually have a cousin who's a Kamehameha heir who loves traveling with his University of Hawaii Prof girlfriend and sidesteps our family(ies) interests...................

Zachary Taylor

Northerners and Southerners disputed sharply whether the territories wrested from Mexico should be opened to slavery, and some Southerners even threatened secession. Standing firm, Zachary Taylor was prepared to hold the Union together by armed force rather than by compromise.

Born in Virginia in 1784, he was taken as an infant to Kentucky and raised on a plantation. He was a career officer in the Army, but his talk was most often of cotton raising. His home was in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and he owned a plantation in Mississippi.

But Taylor did not defend slavery or southern sectionalism; 40 years in the Army made him a strong nationalist.

He spent a quarter of a century policing the frontiers against Indians. In the Mexican War he won major victories at Monterrey and Buena Vista.

President Polk, disturbed by General Taylor's informal habits of command and perhaps his Whiggery as well, kept him in northern Mexico and sent an expedition under Gen. Winfield Scott to capture Mexico City. Taylor, incensed, thought that "the battle of Buena Vista opened the road to the city of Mexico and the halls of Montezuma, that others might revel in them."

"Old Rough and Ready's" homespun ways were political assets. His long military record would appeal to northerners; his ownership of 100 slaves would lure southern votes. He had not committed himself on troublesome issues. The Whigs nominated him to run against the Democratic candidate, Lewis Cass, who favored letting the residents of territories decide for themselves whether they wanted slavery.

In protest against Taylor the slaveholder and Cass the advocate of "squatter sovereignty," northerners who opposed extension of slavery into territories formed a Free Soil Party and nominated Martin Van Buren. In a close election, the Free Soilers pulled enough votes away from Cass to elect Taylor.

Although Taylor had subscribed to Whig principles of legislative leadership, he was not inclined to be a puppet of Whig leaders in Congress. He acted at times as though he were above parties and politics. As disheveled as always, Taylor tried to run his administration in the same rule-of-thumb fashion with which he had fought Indians.

Traditionally, people could decide whether they wanted slavery when they drew up new state constitutions. Therefore, to end the dispute over slavery in new areas, Taylor urged settlers in New Mexico and California to draft constitutions and apply for statehood, bypassing the territorial stage.

Southerners were furious, since neither state constitution was likely to permit slavery; Members of Congress were dismayed, since they felt the President was usurping their policy-making prerogatives. In addition, Taylor's solution ignored several acute side issues: the northern dislike of the slave market operating in the District of Columbia; and the southern demands for a more stringent fugitive slave law.

In February 1850 President Taylor had held a stormy conference with southern leaders who threatened secession. He told them that if necessary to enforce the laws, he personally would lead the Army. Persons "taken in rebellion against the Union, he would hang ... with less reluctance than he had hanged deserters and spies in Mexico." He never wavered.

Then events took an unexpected turn. After participating in ceremonies at the Washington Monument on a blistering July 4, Taylor fell ill; within five days he was dead. After his death, the forces of compromise triumphed, but the war Taylor had been willing to face came 11 years later. In it, his only son Richard served as a general in the Confederate Army.

Because the Treaty of 1850 is in place, it appears that it is only right that the State of Hawaii, the City and Counties in the Hawaiian Islands be placed under the American Embassy or the American Consulate in the Hawaiian Islands.

Queen Liliuokalani did document the fact that the U.S. breached the Law of Nations.

The Treaty of 1850, however was a permanent agreement made between the United States/United States of America and the Sovereign his heirs and successors.

Rents and Leases are and remain due for the rents and leases of the Crown Lands, Government lands in the amount of $500 Trillion dollars in gold coins/bullions. Additional costs for the use of our families lands/private properties will be calculated with the assist of our Kamehameha families.

The Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) has been fighting for decades to get some $200 million in back-due revenues in return for the state’s use of so-called “ceded” public lands that were siezed from the Hawaiian kindgom upon the overthrow of Queen Liliuokalani in 1893. And the state has been trying for decades to perk up the Kakaako area through redevelopment.

Now, Gov. Neil Abercrombie has merged the two long-sought objectives, announcing a proposal which would settle OHA’s claim by giving the agency 25 acres in Kakaako as well as his own grand plans to incorporate the neighborhood into Oahu as a “third city,” replete with a 650-foot skyscraper on Pohukaina Street that would tower some 250 feet over Honolulu’s tallest buildings.

But both proposals face significant obstacles, given the long-simmering dispute over rightful ownership of “ceded lands,” the state Legislature’s previous rejection of an OHA settlement proposal, ongoing fears that the deal could open the doors to a final resolution in favor of the state, past public opposition to Kakaako high rises and the threat of rising sea levels.

Groundless gift?

^“My first thought was, here we go again,” said Henry Noa, prime minister of the Reinstated Hawaiian Government. “We have the state trying to justify a land exchange that they don’t have proper title to. They don’t even have the right to transfer the land.”

Noa’s sentiments were echoed by University of Hawaii professor Jon Osorio in a Nov. 29 commentary published in The Hawaii Independent. “To begin with, all transactions involving so-called public lands by the state and any state agencies are violations of Hawaiian Kingdom law,” he wrote. “The crown and government lands of the Hawaiian Kingdom are the property of Hawaiian nationals and the heirs to the Crown. Possession of these lands by the United States is a theft and nothing more.”

Similar objections were raised when the state and OHA last announced a proposed settlement, back in 2008. That deal directed the state to give OHA $13 million in cash and 209 acres of commercial and industrial land on Oahu and the Big Island, worth an assessed value of $187 million. The plan also called for the state to pay OHA $15.1 million annually as its share of revenues from trust lands, a provision struck from a bill that the Legislature ultimately rejected.

State oversight

The most recent proposal, which has been endorsed by OHA and Abercrombie, but still requires legislative approval, would give OHA ownership of 10 parcels in Kakaako Makai, including Fisherman’s Wharf. However, the Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA), a state agency guiding redevelopment in Kakaako, would retain jurisdiction over how the lands are used.

OHA Chairperson Colette Machado said it doesn’t bother her that HCDA retains jurisdiction because she’s looking at the situation politically, and HCDA might be supportive of what the governor wants to do for Native Hawaiians.

According to Joshua A. Wisch, spokesman for the state Attorney Gereral’s office, state oversight comes with the territory. “All land owners located in these urban areas are subject to the master plan created by HCDA,” Wisch said.

While the state and OHA, a state agency, may have no problem with the deal, opponents see much that is troubling from issues of ownership to valuation of the land.

Flood zone?

^“OHA is supposed to be representing Native Hawaiian interests, and they’re claiming the land will negate the $212 million the state owes to OHA,” Noa said. “But I don’t think that land is worth even $50 million. The state hasn’t developed that property in over 15 to 20 years now, and I believe it’s because [it’s] a flood zone and the ocean plays a mean effect on that side of Kewalo Basin. The rest, out on Point Panic, is all landfill properties. You won’t be able to do anything with it.”

Henry Curtis, executive director of Life of the Land–a group that banded with the Surfrider Foundation, Save Our Kakaako Coalition and Friends of Kewalo Basin to resist previous plans for high rise projects in the area–had a similarly critical assessment of both the OHA land transfer and Abercrombie’s “third city” concept.

“Some people suggest that the governor has proposed a bold vision for the future,” Curtis wrote in an email to the Weekly. “In reality, a highly unpopular governor is misusing the term ‘urban oasis’ (parkland) to propose an allegedly ‘sustainable economy’ (dense urban growth) in an area that is within the Blue Line (flooding due to climate change).”

Chip Fletcher, a geologist in UH’s Geology and Geophysics Department, has done mapping that uses a blue line to show land vulnerable to the three-foot sea level rise expected by the end of the century. In response to an email query, he replied, “I don’t see a dramatic risk in the Kakaako area–but tsunami and high wave overwash and the possibilities of higher than expected sea level rise all suggest that any development there should take marine hazards into account in the building design, etc.”

Fletcher gives more detail on his department’s website detailing the anticipated effects of sea level rise, including sea water coming out of storm drains along Ala Moana Boulevard when tides are high.

High Expectations

Such factors raise questions about whether the land slated for transfer to OHA could realistically be developed to generate substantial revenue for the agency and whether preliminary valuations for the parcels are accurate. For example, one lot fronting Ala Moana Boulevard has been valued at $17 million, assuming a 400-foot height limit is allowed.

But citizens have strongly resisted previous proposals to build towers in Kakaako makai; indeed, an Alexander & Baldwin plan to build two high-rise condominiums, along with shops and public facilities, was so bitterly opposed that the state Legislature passed a law in 2006 prohibiting residential development there. Further, HCDA’s 2011 revised master plan for the area calls for preserving views of the Koolau Mountains from Kakaako Waterfront Park, which would appear to nix any plans for a 400-foot building. “They could build a 200-foot tower there, but to go 400 feet, they would have to change the height limits and there would be opposition to that,” said Ron Iwami of Friends of Kewalo’s.

Machado said she would not push to have the Legislature overturn the law prohibiting residential highrises in Kakaakao makai. But regarding the parcel where height limits would have to be raised to allow 400-foot buildings, “height might be nice so we can accommodate some commercial space,” she said.

Open space concerns

But much of Kakaako makai is slated for noncommercial public development, such as shoreline parks and promenades, community gardens, cultural museums, a performing arts center, fish and farmers’ markets, a 1,110-space parking lot and a community center, according to HCDA’s draft master plan.

Any development would be at least 10-15 years down the road, Machado told the Weekly. “We are not A&B or a business that is going to be looking at a time frame to generate a revenue base and ram this down everybody’s throat. We’re going to be there for time immemorial. We are going to tread lightly,” Machado noted, adding that she knows the community there wants to be assured of having adequate access to ocean and shoreline frontage. “I’m not sure how far apart we are, but I know we support access to the shoreline as well as gathering,” she said. Even less clear is whether the state will be able to come up with the money to implement the draft master plan itself or find ways of passing the costs on to others, such as landowners developing properties in Kakaako mauka. Language in the master plan itself speaks to this concern, citing the “current economic downturn.”

For whose benefit?

This seems to run counter to a statement Abercrombie reportedy made to the Associated Press when the proposed settlement was announced: “The $200 million will rise in value, we think, very, very rapidly as we move on the Kakaako development.”

In his commentary, Osorio urged, “It is time for OHA’s beneficiaries to weigh in about whether we think that our trustees should be getting deeper into the property management business. Hopefully our trustees will take the time to listen.”

OHA stakeholder meetings are going on this month in preparation for opening of the Legislature in January. “We’ve learned valuable lessons from the past. I hope we’re smarter now, more sensitive and more respectful,” Machado said.

But those who are focused on independence, like Noa, are experiencing sentiments more akin to distrust than gratitude. “To me, it’s obvious the state is trying to build OHA’s credibility as far as representing our people,” Noa said.

And that leads to Osorio’s underlying concern. “I am also worried that this is the opening the governor is seeking to a ‘final settlement’ of land and perhaps cash with a Hawaiian agency,” he wrote. “Whether through outright sale, exchange or by utilizing the Public Land Development Corporation set up last year through Act 55, the Legislature, like the governor, is anxious to remove as many legal restraints from its use of ‘ceded lands’ as it can.”

It remains to be seen how much OHA will settle for in order to stay in power. “With the seemingly tremendous opportunity that Governor Abercrombie has given to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, I truly believe this will have a tremendous impact for future generations and also for the new Native Hawaiian government we’re working to hard on with the Native Hawaiian Roll Commission,” Machado told the Weekly.

What are “Ceded” Lands?

The lands that are often referred to as “public” or “ceded” were actually seized from the Kingdom of Hawaii during the 1893 overthrow of the monarchy, which the US Congress deemed unlawful when it approved the 1993 “Apology Resolution.”

In 1898, the Republic of Hawaii–led by those who masterminded the coup–“ceded” control of 1.8 million acres of Kingdom lands to the US government and sold the rest to private parties.

When Congress adopted the 1959 Admissions Act, which brought Hawaii into the union, it kept 400,000 acres of “ceded lands” for military bases, national parks and other federal uses and put the rest into the Public Land Trust, which was turned over to the newly formed state of Hawaii.

In the years since statehood, these trust lands have been developed for the Hilo and Honolulu international airports, Maui’s Kahului Harbor, Sand Island, hotels, hospitals, affordable housing, golf courses, parks at Kapiolani and Ala Moana, the University of Hawaii system and other uses. Additional lands were sold, exchanged, leased or transferred to the counties or other government entities.

The Admissions Act mandated that the state use revenues from the trust to improve conditions for Native Hawaiians, develop farms and home ownership opportunities and support public education and other public uses. However, revenue from the trust was used primarily for public education up until 1978, when the state Constitutional Convention proposed creating OHA specifically to receive and to manage trust revenues for the benefit of Hawaiians, according to the agency’s website.

Hawaii voters ratified that plan in 1978, and two years later the state Legislature passed Act 273, which directed 20 percent of all “funds” from trust lands to OHA, while failing to define just what the term “funds” encompassed.

Since OHA’s inception, it has been in litigation with the state over both the source and definition of these funds, most notably revenues from Hilo Hospital, state affordable housing and duty free shops at Honolulu Airport.

The state Supreme Court said that before OHA could sue on the issue of funds, it had to go back to the Legislature to clarify the claims, which prompted the negotiations leading to the most recent proposed settlement agreement, as well as the one that lawmakers rejected in 2008.

In the meantime, the state is prohibited from selling or transferring any “ceded lands” to private entities.

What’s Cookin’ in Kakaako

Kakaako has suddenly become the happening place.

Besides announcing a proposal to give the Office of Hawaiian Affairs 25 acres on the makai side of Ala Moana Boulevard, Gov. Abercrombie has unveiled plans to develop 1,004 housing units, half of them affordable, as well as a civic/commercial center and a 650-foot tower–the tallest in the state–on Pohukaina Street by the end of 2019.

Kamehameha Schools, meanwhile, has approval to build 2,750 multifamily housing units and commercial space on the 29 acres it owns, possibly starting in mid-2013, while Howard Hughes Corp. will be allowed to build 4,300 residential units and commercial space on 60 acres.

In addition, plans are in the works to build 68 affordable senior rentals in this space on Kona Street between Pensacola and Piikoi Streets, and Kewalo Basin LLC is slated to develop 345 condominium units on Waimanu Street.

To make corrections, it seems most appropriate to place all of the above agencies/ governments/counties/branches of government including OHA/Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Hawaiian Homes, etc. under an American Embassy, or American Consulate, for example.

Our families, the Royal Families who are the King's heirs and successors are interested in resolving the ongoing pirating activities pursued by various entities moving to build rails, remove burials (Kawaiahao Church yard, etc.), lay cables, further contaminate (GMO's, DU/depleted uranium, toxins developed - Agent Organge, etc.) our lands, waters, etc.

The following are some of the things necessary to make corrections:

1. Place the State of Hawaii, the Counties governments, OHA/Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and other arms such as the U.S. Court, State of Hawaii Supreme Court, Circuit Courts, Hawaiian Homes under an American Embassy or American Consulate.

2. Place reins on all activities that have no rights to operate on Sovereign lands includes the Rail, GMO's - Monsanto, DU - depleted uranium, other toxins, contaminants, etc.

3. Pay Rents and leases remain due - $500 Trillion dollars in gold coins. Our government is interested in a payment plan made by the U.S. and other nations who did assume, wrongfully assume monies belonging to the Hawaiian Government which was approximately $2 - $3,279,000 as of 1892.....interest is not included in these figures. The Morgan investor for both England, and the U.S. did utilize the funds as documented in various evidence from Queen Liliuokalani's files, etc.

4. Pay for water usage, Resources, Mineral rights, etc.

5. Return of our "Coins of the Realm" as well as the gold bullions, silver, etc.

6. Return of our government buildings, office keys - the Iolani/the Palace, buildings sitting on our families lands.

7. Return of all of our Hawaiian Government Records, books which is temporarily being housed in the State of Hawaii's buildings.

8. Ongoing land use requires rents, leases.....for example, the State Capitol sits on our families lands, as well as the City & County District Courthouse, the Bureau of Conveyances, the City Hall, the State of Hawaii Courts, Court Buildings, the Federal Courthouse/Building, etc.

Aloha Mike and the Natural News Team members,

We formed the Hawaii GMO Justice Coalition to bring together the many groups on the islands and the mainland seeking justice against the GMO companies on Hawaii. For the past 25 years Hawaii has been the field trial lab of 95% of GMO crops, totaling over 5,000 field trials. After GMO seeds come out of the lab, the first place they are tested is Hawaii. About 15,000 acres of land is growing GMO crops on the Islands today that no one will ever eat.

Hawaii is the only place to have stopped the deregulation of a GMO crop. A moratorium on the planting of GMO Taro took place, because Hawaii farmers and citizens would not stand for it.

On February 21, 2012 (at 12:30 pm) we are organizing a rally at the state capital to push for the passage of two laws, one is labeling of GMO Foods, the other is disclosure of field trial sites to allow people and farmers to decide if they want to live near a field trial site.

Our main partner, who has led the movement against Monsanto over the years, is the Organic Consumers Association (www.OrganicConsumers.org) and their Millions Against Monsanto Campaign. We have 10 other organizations that are partners from non profits, small organic food companies or farmers. We are using each partners logo on a flier and asking that they promote the event how they feel comfortable, through facebook or their email list.

Some of our partners include the Hawaii Farmers Union (they have 300 small farmers on the islands), Labelgmos.org, Braggs, Poamoho Farms and we have contacted Sierra Club Hawaii, Hawaii organic farmers association and numerous others.

Currently we have four confirmed speakers and a couple other very prominent speakers that have to check their schedule. The confirmed speakers include Dr. Patricia Bragg the pioneer of healthy living, one of the board members from the Hawaii Farmers Union and other farmers. Paul Achitoff who is the Managing Partner at Earthjustice (http://earthjustice.org), based in Honolulu, that has led the Monsanto litigation for years is checking his schedule and is very supportive of our rally.

Numerous food companies are also supporting, so far these include Sunfood and Bright Earth Foods, we are also speaking with a few other small food companies. We are only speaking with independent food companies.

1875 -A Fraud Deed was claimed to Pearl Harbor and signed by King David Kalakaua in 1875. The problematic issue being that the true deed was made prior to the Mahele of 1848, due to the Halawa lands - including Pearl Harbor belonged to John Young/Olohana, the father of Grace Kamaikui who was awarded John Young's ahupuaa/Halawa lands - including Pearl Harbor in 1848. Grace Kamaikui has descendants: Hueu, Kale, and Peke Davis, and whose descendants existed then and exists today.

( you can locate the Fraud Deeds by going to the First Circuit Court and reviewing the Condemnation cases by the U.S. Government/ entity State of Hawaii vs. Bernice Pauahi Bishop Estates aka's Trustees).

The FRAUD Deed to Pearl Harbor documented in the Condemnation Case. King David Kalakaua deeded lands of Halawa to Grace Kamaikui and Mataio Kekuanaoa. The problems that surfaced in the court case include the facts that Grace Kamaikui died in 1866, and Mataio Kekuanaoa died in 1868.

1875 - a Fraud Deed was made affecting Pearl Harbor and used in the Treaty of Reciprocity signed by King David Kalakaua who had no interest in the lands of Halawa which was conveyed to John Young's and Isaac Davis wife Grace Kamaikui.

King Kalakaua deeded already deeded lands of Halawa which included Pearl Harbor to deceased ancestors Grace Kamaikui and Mataio Kekuanaoa.

1878 - Fear of the Japanese by the U.S. was documented. The Pacific Cable Company was formed by Charles Reed Bishop and Friends.

1893 - January 17. American businessmen, treasonous persons, conspirators supported by the U.S., England, and the Morgan bankers (includes the international bankers) moved to dethrone Queen Liliuokalani.

5) Charles L. Carter - lawyer.

Princess Kaiulani's father - Archibald Cleghorn 'got lost somewhere between Chicago and Washington'. From Salt Lake City and former resident from Hawaii, William A. Kinney, lawyer met them as an advisor.

Dr. Smith/Dr. Mott Smith, a representative from the Hawaiian Islands in Washington, D. C. met the five (5) from Hawaii.

Dr. Smith/Dr. Mott Smith's assistant was Thomas Akaka, ancestor of current day Daniel Akaka who moves with the Akaka Bill, with purposes of defrauding all Hawaiian aboriginals/kanaka maoli, etc.

Now, to get back to the above posted document, $5,000 was made available for five (5) members to travel to Washington D.C. Appears Cleghorn did not want to be directly associated with the treasonous group and happend to have gotten "lost". Cleghorn was the brother-in-law of Queen Liliuokalani due to his marriage to Princess Miriam Likelike and the parents of Princess Kaiulani. Pushing aside the reason for travel at the Hawaiian Kingdom expense for economic plans with the U.S., the travel monies granted in the Legislative Session of 1892, and approved for use on January 5, 1893, was used instead for treasonous activities involved plans to "secure annexation with the United States". The language added "We citizens and representatives of the Hawaiian Islands, organizing and acting for the public safety and the common good, hereby proclaim that a Provisional government for the control and management of public affairs and the protection of the public peace is hereby established. to exist under terms of union with the United States of America have been negotiated and agreed upon." "The terms upon which the annexation shall be made.......................we shall remain here until our object is accomplished or our application is rejected."

  1901 - December 6. The Oahu Railway and Land Company deeded Halawa lands "for the purpose of condemning for naval purposes a certain tract of land situated in the District of Ewa, Island of Oahu, Territory of Hawaii.....Registered map #1739....635 acres, more or less." All of this "in pursuant of said agreement and in consideration of Ten Dollars ($10) in lawful money of the United States of America...." "Oahu Railway & Land Co. By S.C. Allen, President; by M.P. Robinson, Treasurer" signed.
  
  Note: This is the first deed recorded to the U.S. while the true land owners existed, while Queen Liliuokalani was still alive. This shows in part the criminal transactions of criminal deviants transferring lands that did not belong to them, and making it appear that it was a legal transaction.
  
  1901 - December 6. The Oahu Sugar Company Limited also a Corporation deeded to the United States of America "the sum of Ten (10) Dollars in lawful money of the United States of America............portion of that certain Island shown upon that certain Chart numbered 1800 published by the Hydrographic Office of the United States Navy Department, said Island being known and designated Mokuumeume or Ford Island and said portions ..........containing and including 23 acres, more or less.....". "Oahu Sugar Co. Limited by its 2nd Vice President M.P. Robinson, by its Treasurer H.A. Isenberg" signed the deed.

  20) 1902 - Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estates Trustees deeded lands of Halawa to the U.S.! The transaction amount was for $52,737.50 dollars "in lawful money of the United States of America" - the transaction was made "between Estate of Bernice Pauahi Bishop deceased and Joseph O. Carter, William F. Allen, William O. Smith, Samuel M. Damon, and Alfred W. Carter Trustees under the Will of Bernice Pauahi Bishop deceased and of the Estate of said Bernice Pauahi Bishop, parties of the first part and The United States of America, party of the second part".

  The map - The date on the map in entry 17) shows at the bottom "Recorded and Compared this 16th day of July A.D. 1902 at 3:40 o'clock P. 71_ " signed/stamped Thos. G. Thrum, Registrar of Conveyances.
  
  Note: The Territory of Hawaii entity made a condemnation case. The U.S. assumed lands of the Royal families, Grace Kamaikui's ahupuaa. The Trustees of the Estate of Bernice Pauahi Bishop were treasonous persons who did not have the rights to convey lands of the Royal families, etc. The claim that they appeared to be moving with was the King David Kalakaua deed which conveyed the Halawa Ahupuaa to Grace Kamaikui and Mataio Kekuanaoa. Grace Kamaikui was the owner of the Halawa Ahupuaa which was already conveyed to her by Kamehameha III - Kauikeouli in 1848. The Ahupuaa belonged to John Young, who left it to his heirs/descendants. John Young was a British counselor of Kamehameha.
  
  In other words, the claims by the Treasonous Trustees are without right, they had no claims to the Halawa Ahupuaa because John Young's, Grace Kamaikui's descendants existed then, and their descendants exist today (including myself, Amelia Gora). These illegal transactions made by treasonous persons are null and void, the U.S. supported their conspiracy activities, treasonous activities...............see the Premeditation article showing that the U.S. President, and the U.S. Congress did make a standing order to assume the Hawaiian Islands, Pearl Harbor, which is part of the Halawa Ahupuaa, and dethroning Queen Liliuokalani from a neutral, friendly, non violent nation.
  
  The Roads to WAR with the criminal claims to Pearl Harbor, Halawa lands, Mokuumeume Island (Ford Island) is based on fraud, criminal deviance, piracy(ies), etc. Research incomplete.
  
  1917 - Queen Liliuokalani died. She denied signing a Trust Deed with Samuel Damon, William Smith, and Curtis Iaukea.
  
  Colburn, an administrator, was left to make corrections but instead made an agreement with Prince Kuhio.
  
  1918 - Prince Kuhio made an out-of-court settlement to the claims of Queen Liliuokalani's denial that she signed a Trust Deed. He received Queen Liliuokalani's beach front home in Waikiki as a settlement.
  
  Meanwhile, the true trustees descendants existed then, and exist now.

  Opposition to Statehood was made by Harold Cathcart, one of Kamehameha's descendants, first cousin of my great grandmother.
  
  1992 - A Condemnation Case in the First Circuit Court - Case o. 92-2435-07 was made. The claims on the case was based on the Fraud Deed of King David Kalakaua to two (2) deceased ancestors.

The U.S., and England were bankrupt due to their debt from the American Civil War and they assumed the Hawaiian Kingdom assets through their banking partnerships, investors the Morgan and International banks including the Bank of England who funded both sides of Wars.
  
  Queen Liliuokalani documented that the U.S. breached the Law of Nations.
  
  Charles Reed Bishop had borrowed $2,000,000 - $4,000,000 from the Hawaiian Kingdom and the PIRATE, Racketeering entity calling themselves the Provisional government forgave him his loans.

  Kamehameha II – Alexander Liholiho, was a son of Kamehameha. He tried to learn about the Monarchy government in England. He and his wife died of measles.
  
  Kamehameha III – Kauikeouli, was a son of Kamehameha. He shared his properties with the people, and the Hawaiian government, which is NOT the entity State of Hawaii, a Pirate on the high seas.
  
  The Hawaiian Kingdom was recognized in the Law of Nations:

  Kamehameha V – Lot Kamehameha was an older brother of Kamehameha IV – Alexander Liholiho. He was a true grandson of Kamehameha.
  
  The haole/foreigners used his signature to assume large tracts of Crown Lands, water rights, etc. through his signature while he was the Minister of Interior. Even Governor Poindexter in 1936 used his signature long after he died! Yes, thieves, identity thieves, criminal acts are documented by the haole/foreigners.

  King William Lunalilo – he was the son of Kekauluohi, Auhea and Charles Kanaina. His mother was married to Kamehameha, and when he died, she married Kamehameha II. It was part of the Royal Families tradition. Multiple marriages were acceptable for the Royal Families.
  
  King David Kalakaua – He was not a Kamehameha but he did attend the Royal School (see the Calendar article above). His mother Keohokalole was a hanai/adopted daughter of a Kamehameha descendant.
  
  King Kalakaua was forced by the haole/foreigners to sign a Constitution which removed many of his rights. His sister Liliuokalani called the 1887 Constitution the Bayonnet Constitution.
  
  Note: Is it right to have foreigners force someone to sign important documents while they point guns at the person?
  
  King Kalakaua had his own flag made:
  
  A U.S. representative asked for loans from the King and the House of Nobles. The House of Nobles said NO because they would not pay the loan back for thousands of years. The Americans intended to pay only small amounts each month.
  
  His cousin named Robert Wilcox tried to take over the Hawaiian Kingdom. He was charged with treason and pardoned.
  
  Queen Liliuokalani – She was the sister of King David Kalakaua. Their mother was a hanai/adopted daughter of a Kamehameha descendant. She too attended the Royal School and was eligible to be a Hawaiian leader.
  
  The Americans did not like Queen Liliuokalani because she knew some of the things that they were up to.
  
  Once again, Robert Wilcox and others, tried to take over the Hawaiian Kingdom. Once again he was tried for treason, and he was released. Robert Wilcox appeared to be testing his cousins to help the Americans.
  
  Many people tried to pay the Queen for the Hawaiian Islands. They claimed to be Hawaiian subjects but were actually Americans and treasonous, criminals to the Hawaiian Kingdom.
  
  Even the U.S. President Benjamin Harrison, former American Civil War General, and U.S. President Grover Cleveland were in on it with England and the bankers (Morgan bankers, Bank of England, and others).
  
  They planned the takeover of our Hawaiian Kingdom since they started to say that Bernice Pauahi Bishop was the last of the Kamehameha’s. That was a lie! Many descendants existed then and exists today.
  
  The U.S. Congress with the U.S. President(s), the military, etc. gave orders to take over the Hawaiian Islands on January 8, 1893:

  Note: Queen Liliuokalani owned sugar plantations. The haole/foreigners were unkind to the workers. They treated people of color like slaves and did not recognize the Hawaiian Kingdom’s anti-slavery law of 1852.
  
  About Princess Kaiulani. Queen Liliuokalani did not abdicate over to her.

  Note: The haole/foreigners/Americans/Congress deprived her and her subjects, even after Oppositions were made through the KUE Petition. She had been imprisoned, her belongings were removed by treasonous persons, she had been arrested and called treasonous by the Pirates. She was pardoned. The Hawaiian Kingdom was under martial law.
  
  She left a Will which shows that she did not sign a Trust Deed with the haole/foreigners. However, she did sign a Trust Deed with her hanai/adopted daughter.
  
  Prince Kuhio tried to declare her to be incompetent, a crazy person. Queen Liliuokalani maintained that she did not sign a Trust Deed with the haole/foreigners.
  
  Prince Kuhio took an out of court settlement to the claims of Queen Liliuokalani after she died in 1917.
  
  Prince Kuhio and Prince Kawananakoa were treasonous persons, were Masons/Freemasons part of a group who helped to remove Queen Liliuokalani from her position.
  
  Both Princes, although listed and schooled as Princes, they were relatives of Queen Kapiolani and were not the bloodlines of King David Kalakaua and Queen Liliuokalani.
  
  Prince Kuhio and Prince Kawananakoa purchased an interest of the Queen Liliuokalani Trust from a descendant of the adopted daughter of the Queen’s true Trustee. She was not the bloodline of her true Trustee.
  
  CONCLUSION
  
  The Pirates in place are not the Hawaiian Kingdom. The Pirates maintain Trusts that they do not have ownership to. The Kuhio and Kawananakoa’s are Kanaka Maoli Pirates who support the haole/foreigners/Americans through their criminal claims, lies, deceit, and supported by the U.S. Many issues remain. Ramifications are ongoing.
