Hawaii Bids Farewell: James Nakapa'ahu

I've lost a good friend, great supporter and a part of me with the passing of James. At first I wanted to continue the path that I walk and go to Waikiki as I have done since June 8. But I could not leave home with the feeling that I have for the passing of James. James and I did not spend too much time talking of the issues. Instead his actions spoke very clearly and loudly of his devotion for our people. ALOHA OE, e James

      that is a beautiful picture, amy. it has no meaning to me that james is not around, so i know he is...still around. maybe more so. the sky broke open somehow. love gabe

    he and we knew his time was short,but he didn't dwell on that.
    I see James as the WIND BEHIND OUR SAILS,he is now with our Queen and our kupuna being honored as the True Worrior for truth , justice and to set things PONO.
    I Know They will not want us to give up , but to continue ,as they will continue to supply OUR WA'A with the power to continue on OUR JOUNEY TOWARD INDEPENDENCE , TRUTH and PONO ~ EA
