I would like to personally invite all to our `Umu Hau Pöhaku - Hawaiian Rock Wall Project Saturday and Sunday, November 6th and 7th, 2010 at the Beatrice H. Krauss Hawaiian Ethnobotanical Garden of the Lyon Arboretum. This is the first phase of our project to build a traditional Hawaiian meeting house (hale halawai) in the garden. The workshop is limited to 40 adults, who must be able to lift 40 pounds. The foundation stage of traditional Hawaiian house construction will be led by Kumu Palani Sinenci of Hana, Maui. For those unable to volunteer, but who would still like to kökua we are always looking for donations for food and drinks for the workshop participants.
